“ZOMG GERMANS! snogs”
Wha?
What is this “zmog” you speak of?
Apparently, I’m an idiot.
“zomg”.
Just, feel free to shoot me.
So is there some reason why I’m awake at 3 in the morning? If you know, please explain. I woke up around 1:30, read awhile, dozed awhile, woke up some more. Finally gave up and decided to cruise the Dope and maybe watch a movie.
Being sleepy would be good, since I have to get up around 7 to go to an all-day gardening event thingy.
GT
GT clearly, the reason is to keep me company. I’ve been pretty good (kinda good, maybe…) about sleeping through the night this week, but I’m all restless tonight. Laying down would just be frustrating.
Good morning one and all!
It’s 7:00 am and I’m sipping my coffee with the idea of shortly getting into the shower.
The hubby worked very hard yesterday on the yard. He went and bought Tagro which is treated waste from the city. It looks like dirt. It is dirt, but has “stuff” in it. Anyway, he spread that all over our lawn and in a few weeks time we will have one of the lovieliest lawns around. This stuff greens your lawn up, fills in all the little holes, and makes the lawn grow like crazy. Whenever we used to put it on the lawn at our old house we’d get compliments on how beautiful our lawn looked. The only issue is waiting for the dirt to meld with grass and waiting for the grass to grow. The other issue is that we can’t let the dog out in the yard because he’ll get muddy feet, so he must be walked. That’s what kids are for though, hee-hee.
The best part is that it’s only about twelve bucks a truckload. Much, much cheaper than purchasing Scotts Fertilizer.
We’re waiting on our friend to arrive so we can try to help him with his computer. I don’t know if we can, but we’ll give it the ol’ college try.
This evening’s plans call for our attendance at a friend’s little party. It should be fun.
Off to cruise the Dope.
Well, anything that makes us laugh together!
That is very true, hon.
Wait - what? If he takes art he’ll look like swampy?? That would be pretty scary in a little boy. Especially the beard. And the copious quantities of gray hair. It works on an old geezer like swampster, tho…
I’m feeling mostly recovered, thank goodness. My ribs and throat hurt from coughing, but the worst is past. I went to class today and glazed 7 pieces, trimmed 6, and made some tops for my oil lamps. The rest of my stuff was still in a kiln, so I’m not sure how many pieces I’ll be glazing next week. After Easter, I’ll have all of them home, and I’ll post pics then.
Speaking of Easter, that’s when we’re taking the furniture and stuff to our kid. We’re going to take Friday off, and leave home on Thurs. We’ll drive to Ocala and stay with the inlaws on Fri night, then head to Orlando early on Sat. After unloading the furniture, we’ll hang with the kid that night, and leave way early on Easter morning. Alas, there won’t be time to meet up with Puggy - but we will connect some day on a future trek!
Meanwhile, I have an exciting afternoon of laundry planned. Envy me, if you must.
You know, when I logged on, I was going to ask how you were doing, Mrs. Overlord . It sounds like your body has finally adjusted and is fighting off them germs.
I took art history classes. I can grow a full beard (although I’ve never tried), but I juuuuuust don’t have that other half down. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
We need more bearded kids. When I think of one thing that kids don’t have that they might want, it’s alcohol. Beards will be a big step in getting them that alcohol.
Holy schmow, the eagle was just making a LOT of noise! Then it looks like they made “the switch” on the egg-sitting duties.
I’ve been hooked on this since Thursday. If it’s an April Fool’s thing, I will be mighty disappointed.
See, this is what I like about these boards. There’s an answer to practically every question.
Cool webcam, Savannah. Looks real enough to me.
Taters, would your hubby mind stopping by here with a truckload of that nice stuff? My lawn looks pretty crappy. Also, I have many gardening chores that need to be done and they’ll go ever so much faster if there’s more than just me to do them. Yep: top husband I could use is Gardening Husband.
Spent the day at a kind of gardening fair. Hung out with lots of friends, heard interesting stuff, saw pretty plants (was good, bought nothing). Excellent way to spend a relaxing day. Although I’m tired now due to last night’s lack of sleep. (I finally fell asleep around 5:00 and got up at 7:00.)
I sense an early evening.
Off to read a book.

If you haven’t changed your clocks, do it now. You’re welcome.
I spent another night on the recliner - I sure hope I can sleep in bed tonight. With luck, the coughing is done. At least I can hope.
Today’s plans are - um - undetermined as yet. There is some laundry to be done. And we were going to do the garage door opener (finally) - beyond that, I’ll just wing it. But first, I need a shower and some clean clothes, so off I go.
I was really scared I’d oversleep and forget that the time had changed. But I woke up and am thinking about getting up and having breakfast and getting ready for the day. Happy Sunday!
Yay for computer clocks that do it automatically! I still have to figure out (again) how to change my ring, it’s only got the two buttons. Oh well, guess and check time.
Yesterday I saw V for Vendetta again, and it was just as astounding and powerful the second time around. I urge you all to go see it pronto, and if you need further encouragement, you can read my review of the movie here.
Today I chain myself to the E&M textbook. Who’s got the next MMP?
gt, Mr. Taters said he’d be glad to do it, only you’d have to pay for the gas. Let’s see, the truck has a V10 engine and I live here on the West Coast and you’re in Ohio. That’s what? About 2000 miles? At $2.55 a gallon? He said he could probably be there on Tuesday afternoon.
Last night’s little shindig at my friend’s house was fun. We got home late and I ended up sleeping late.
I don’t have any real definite plans for today. I think just hanging around here and putzing around.
The kids are in spring break. I wish I had a spring break!
I’m trying to do my daughter’s taxes. She didn’t make much last year - even including the prepaid tuition payout. I’ve been messing with it for 2 hours, and I swear, I can’t figure it out. Could the IRS possibly make it more vague and confusing??
I just sent an email to the mother of her friend - the woman who did her taxes last year. It doesn’t look like she included the prepaid part as income, which is fine if that’s how it works, but it looks to me like it has to be included - at least the earnings on what we paid. But when I put it in TurboTax, it includes the full amount as income, which is wrong - we already paid taxes on the majority of those funds.
I hate how difficult the IRS makes things. There’s no reason, except to make it so confusing that people give up and don’t claim what they’re entitled to. GAAAAAAAH!
Something tells me I’m not going to get a whole lot done today. Stoopit taxes.
You think it’d have been as powerful and influential with someone who went in tablua rasa? If they didn’t have inclination to stand up towards authority, do you think such a statement would break through?
I saw it. I really liked it. I may actually go get the comic book, just to see the differences between the two. Then again, I’m the type that likes to stare down authority types.
Back to reading Invisible Man .
I can guess what one of your top 5 actions will be when officially crowned Overlord.
Rosie is doing the MMP. Remember, she’s going to regale us with tales of wine and song… well, song anyways.
I got one of FCM’s bursts of energy yesterday and cleaned all the chairs, tables and such around the pool as well as scrubbing down the deck and cleaning up my grill. I was tired after that and we had to go to a little gathering in honor of a friend’s retiring last night. We made an early night of it though and were home by nine p.m. I remembered to set all the clocks up before going to bed. YAY ME! I even got up on time to go to church this morning, which is a good thing, cause I was playin’ usher today. We went to lunch at the local hog trough and then I came home and took some Benadryl[sup]TM[/sup] and ACBG went home cause he had laundry to do. I took a two hour nap and am still kinda groggy. It’s all nice and warm outside but the neighbor is burning some stuff so it’s all smoky and bothers my sinuses whenever I walk outside. GRRRRR!!!
