It’s still nice outside, I had the window open and the fan blowing in.
Then somebody somewhere started burning something. The smoke was so bad I was starting to choke on it.
I didn’t see any flames and haven’t heard any sirens.
I wonder if it’s a fireplace?
I worked, got some stuff done, came home. I was listing, but I’m back on an Even Keel:D.

Then there was the numnut(s) (<– plural) that I sicced the cops on. All I’ll say in those matter(s) (<– plural) is that the cops won’t do anything if you’re not breaking any laws.

Lower digestive tract is nearly normal, but upper respiratory is acting up. Hope the call center isn’t in for another strain of “kennel cough”.
Also hope Mistah 'Tude really was working his last day there today (claims to have landed another job. Wonder how long he’ll last there before getting bounced), since he’s a jerk to callers and incredibly argumentative to managers.
How stupid does one have to be to not have lights on while driving when the sun has set? Sure, the sky was not totally dark, but apparently “drivers” around here are phobic about turning on their lights in poor visibility.
I realized at some point today that I was wearing a shirt older than a fair percentage of my coworkers.
I’ve been making a point of avoiding political stuff lately. I’m wishing we could just flush them all, all across the board, and start over.

I’m glad the last debate is over. I am not happy about the Dodgers game. 
I too would like a dog. A German Shepherd or a Rottweiler. I’m plotting.
I got approval on the long term disability for 2 years. Why 2 years? Because there’s a 2 year limit on mental health disability and migraines are mental health related. :smack: There is a process for filing additional medical paperwork, etc, and getting this reclassified. I will get to it. I’ll have to get an attorney. In the meantime, I have some more runway and I’m feeling ok about things for now.
Guilt by association? 
Going in to work now and feeling blurfy already. It’s going to be a very long day and I stayed up too late to watch the debate last night.

The thing is, they’re not the best and brightest. I honestly believe the best and brightest are too smart to want the job. And those who are actually very competent and really believe they can make a difference soon end up beaten down by the system. At least that’s how I see it.
Think about it - would you want to apply for a job knowing that people would be digging into your past looking for any little thing to discredit you or that someone you pissed off in 3rd grade would go on TV and tear you down for losing at dodgeball? I disqualified myself when I realize that someone would find out that I got in trouble in 1st grade for not following directions on a worksheet… :eek:
But, I’m mostly packed for vacation. My suitcase is loaded and in the corner, with a little more space for maybe a few small items. Tonight, I’ll pull out my list and make sure I haven’t forgotten anything. Minor panic is starting to set in, so the list will help.
Meanwhile, I have 2 circuit breaker panels and an instrument panel to finish drawing. I hope I can clear this mess off my desk by tomorrow afternoon. Time to dive into it.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 64 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 88 and partly sunny for the day. No huge plans for the day which is fine by me. OYKW informed me last night he has a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for pizza so majik intartoobz pizza for dindin it is. I shall go to the sto’ this mornin’ at some point as I do need to re-supply some food staples. Methinks a trip to the liberry is also on the agenda. I may even start on cleanin’ out a storage buildin’. Or not. I can be willy-nilly like that now.

A water pipe bursting when you’re not around for a week is not a good thing; happened to my BiL once, & kinda-sorta to a former cow-orker.
I’m alive, wedding was lovely, week is busy, drive-by hugs.
Awake and awaiting the yearly termite inspection. Using the time to catch up on some DCNR paperwork for next year.
That would be problematic. The cats will have a daily visitor who, at some points, will have to refill their water. Plus what if said kitteh sitter needs to pee and is unable to flush? Teh horrorz!! But I can turn off the water to the washer - I’ve heard stories of burst hoses.
And we won’t be taking booze aboard as we don’t drink. We don’t need alcohol to have a good time.

It is bright and sunny outside, it was supposed to be rainy and cool off. Supposed to go up into the 80s again today.
We had to turn on the AC last night because we couldn’t open the windows and it got hot in here.
FCM I am considering a pug for my next dog, if we get another dog. More than likely though, we’ll go to the shelter and pick something out.
I’d turn the water off to the washer. When I was pet sitting I had quite a few incidents with washer hoses, and hot water heaters.
Butters I feel horrible for thinking it, not that I wish death on anybody, but surely between now and election day one of them could get hit by a bus, or their plane could crash, or something, anything, that puts one or both of them out of the running.s
I agree with FCM that nobody decent would want the job anymore.

I’ve been sleeping better and actually feel pretty good today. I’ve been taking a bunch of extra vitamins and stuff. I don’t know if that is what is making the difference, but whatever it is, I’m feeling alive again.
This reminds me of what my Oldest BIL used to tell Brandi the Basset Hound whenever a dog food commercial came on: “Brandi, that dog on TV has a job. When are you going to get a job?”
Because of the tank, critter-sitter can flush each terlet once.
I’d make sure to either show or leave in notes where the main valve is, Justin Case Doesn’t he work for SafeAuto?
I don’t need alcohol to have a good time…but it helps!
