Howdy Y’all! Liberry visited. Errands Run and I voted cause I was in da Burg and it crossed my mind. In and out in five minutes. Groceries are put away and I’ve had N.O.L. I could do a couple loads of laundry. Or nap. Or do both. Or neither one. The possibilities!

nettie, several states have laws that when your wipers are on, your headlights have to be too. I get that some of them that start out in broad daylight and are driving where there are streetlights forget to turn them on though. My last vehicle could be set to have the lights come on when you started it.
One of the counts on my desk just grew legs and it looks like I’m in for some process writing, collaboration with two departments and conference calls to our facility in Moncton. Aren’t I lucky? (could be worse and be conference calls to the facility in the Phillipines).
Home, going over my list. I feel like I’m forgetting something, but the list seems to be pretty complete. Maybe it’s just impatience. In 48 hours from the time I post this, we’ll be underway, heading from Baltimore to the ocean to Charleston, SC. WOOHOO!!!

I was going to go vote after irk today, but I took a whole Benadryl last night which messed me up all day and I kept making wrong turns and then I couldn’t find the Board of Elections until I passed it twice so I just went to the store and got dinner and now I’m over-full and still cranky and writing run-on sentences. :mad:
I think tonight I shall watch Keeping Up Appearances and ignore the rest of the world.

I’m home – I think. Long confusing day at work.
I committed my first politically based facebook blocking this evening. I’ve blocked people before - usually because of spam, and once because they were über annoying. A former cow-orker, basically a good person whose opinions are very different from mine, which is usually no problem, has been shitting all over my political posts. Not “Gino” who I know very well, and I know what his true leanings are. He just likes pushing people’s button. The former cow-orker didn’t present reasoned arguments. She just nay-sayed everything I posted. I worked with her for almost 20 years. We were civil and friendly because of the environment. But her comments on my posts were downright snide. And then she acts all superior because she says she doesn’t post anything political. News for you, sweetie. Posting political comments on other people’s memes is posting political things. I don’t know who she supports in the election., I don’t care. If you say you don’t want to be political, you can’t go politicizing on other people’s posts. That’s like a vegetarian saying pepperoni is a vegetable so he can have his pizza. (I know someone who does that, btw)
We have mutual acquaintances, none of whom I would truly categorize as “friend”, so I’m not concerned about her slamming me to them. Just, she always struck me as someone who was a bully in school, and I always had that "hairs-on-the-back-of-the-neck feeling around her.
I did right for me, right?
Hmmm, maybe I now know what I want for lunch tomorrow, since I work near a 7-11.
Got a couple of callers today who thought I was a recording. This wound up being something for all parties to laugh about. 
Do wish ditz supe would refrain from coming to work horribly ill. As bad as attendance is lately on my team, we really do NOT need another plague sweeping through, and she was the apparent source of the last one.
Yes Rosie you did the right thing. I will be so glad when this election is over as it is tearing this country up more and more.
I worked, I had the Booster Club Boar meeting, now I’m watching football and hockey.

Temps haven’t dropped yet, nor has the rain begun. I just hope the rain doesn’t delay till we have to leave tomorrow. I imagine hauling luggage in the wet makes for an unpleasant start to a cruise. We shall see.
**rosie **- I’ve blocked a bunch of people because of crap they post. Life’s too short to wallow in that kind of crap. Heck, one I’ve blocked is a BIL who continues to amaze me with his stoopit. It’s easier when they don’t exist in your cyber-world.

Temp is supposed to get down to 47 tonight. It’s the beginnin’ of the ice age! Today I shall do the laundry I did not do yestiddy. I will. For real. Trust me. Matter of fact, I have sheets in the washer as I post.

Well, the rains finally came yesterday, but most of Ali-Bama is still in drought conditions. At least the temperature is due to stay in the mid-60F range for a few days, then back towards the 80’s.
Raisin bread break-fast has been consumed, now to compile garbage for the trip to the trash bin.
Laundry is mostly laundered. Last load is in the washer and next to last load in the dryer. Go Me! ‘Tis quite breezy out as well. Laundry and surfin’ teh intartoobz. Now that’s how to do Firday!

At irk and though I could always find something to do I don’t have anything pressing so it makes for a long day. I could do some online training. There is always online training to do. I shall see if my computer will cooperate enough to do online training. Fun stuff.
Got up and started the morning’s get the kids to school prep. Opened boy child’s lunch box and it was filled with (*remembers Mooom’s here) adorable little black ants. Now, boy child eats lunchables, those pre-packaged dealies. It’s not like it’s smeared with jelly like mine was growing up. It contained a penny. Nonetheless, my morning briefly turned into a muttered conversation about how “adorable” those little ants were, while I threw the lunch box into the freezer to kill the bastards. Then I had to explain to boy (autistic) why he couldn’t have his lunch box. Then I had to explain to boy why we were running late (he doesn’t like to be late, he doesn’t like to be rushed). We made it to the bus. There are ants all over my entry way, the mud bench, etc. Because that penny was awesome people.

My daughter disapproves of swearing, which is hysterical. She makes me say things like “fluffy”, as in “Fluffy Ants”.
Blurf. Up for now, but might take a short nap in a couple hours to be prepared for an event. I participate in online roleplay, and my character Callie is catering a four-hour banquet from 3 to 7 today.
Tomorrow, in “meatspace”, a local park will set up a couple of drive-in movie screens showing “E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial”. Mom and I will be joined by my friend Alex and her daughter. Should be a lot of fun!

The temps have cooled, it’s 70 degrees outside. It looked like it would rain earlier, but then got sunny, now is overcast again.
I think the cat will go back today. I want to take him back on a Firday since that is free adoption day and I want to adopt another cat. Sah-son is adamant that we are NOT getting another cat. So I don’t know.
I don’t know how long it will take to catch Percy and get him into a box for transport, and we have to find a suitable box since he peed all over the cat carrier I got from the shelter.
Rosie - I was always told you control your online experience Nobody can force anything on you unless you let them - so block and ban as you want and don’t feel bad about it.
Morning irk shift is over, so time to get some breakfast and get cleaned up.
Sunny somehow my son did not get my mouth, but every now and then he will let loose with a ‘bad’ word and then he’ll look at me and say ‘sorry sorry’. Or he’ll be telling me about some story he’s reading and he apologizes for anything even remotely sexual or naughty.
I swear sometimes I don’t know where he came from. I’m glad he’s a good one, but sometimes I think aliens dropped him off.
