A Football Follow-up MMP

Happy Moooooom Day!

Slept in until almost 0830, all the rain is gone for now and we’re drying out (no tornados this time, glad swampy and OYKW are ok.

I watch tackleball but do not do so fanatically, probably will root for the Falcons simply because it is a damn good team, but I admit I would like to see Commissioner Goodell have to hand the trophy to a team that really hates him (the Patriots). We shall see.

Need to obtain sustenance in a short bit and make myself presentable in public.

My sweetie called - he’s taking me out to dinner tonight. I just need to decide where.

**Tugig **- glad you survived the inanity! No fun stories to share?

Thanks, MetalMouse! I think we’re getting the remnants of your rain with some wind, but no talk of twisters, thank goodness.

Lunch break is too short. Dammit.

**BLURF **Tis Moanday for sure. The building is full of folks. The wind is still blowing very hard, probably 35-40 MPH. There was a gust of 70 MPH just offshore and 50 where I live this morning. Not a good day to be on the water for sure. It is supposed to get into the 60’s tonight

Happiest of Birthday’s MMMOOOOOMMMM.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Gee, it’s in the 60s every night in our house. Every day, too, these days.

I luvs ya, Butters, even if you are a weather wimp!

Yeah – I’m going Falcons as well but it was a close call. After all the Pat fans have flintlock muskets and I got flintlock muskets. But those durn runny-nosed rugrat revolutionaries are ten years after “my generation”. So I want them off my lawn and I hope they don’t get their ball back! GO FALCONS!!!

Back when I was taking classes at Holy School we were having a fellowship gathering at the Chapel on the Hill (a bar just up the road from Thiel College) and someone asked about the Misery Synod - or The Dark Side of the Force as we often called it. He explained that even though they were slow and sedate some people still liked a basic Cadillac. So me being me I had to ask about the WS; his reply was “Sometimes even a Cadillac isn’t slow and sedate enough for some people”.

<hangs head in shame> Well, since they started all that Sevens crap in real football, the American version of the game doesn’t look as bad as it used to.
Oh -------- and

HAPPY
BIRTHDAY
MOOOOOM!!!

Happy birfday, Moooom! Enjoy your night out with your sweetie.

I don’t care about football at all except when it’s the Super Bowl. I wanted Green Bay vs. Steelers so I’m SoL. I will watch the Puppy Bowl that day. It has been foggy in no. Illinois for at least 5 days. I think the Dementors are taking over the White House, oops, Azkaban.

How do I do the strike through thingy???

Happy Mom day!

Busy day at irk, I now has sore feets, and I still have to go do shopping before juggling club this evening assumes position of woe. I’m just leaving it until the rush hour traffic calms down a bit before braving the road.

I have a deal going with organised sports; I don’t bother them, and they don’t bother me. I am content with this arrangement.

Happy birthday Moooooom!

nava, I get where you’re coming from. It’s the last full week of the month. All of the stuff I’ve been asking people about for the last three weeks will have to be adjusted and closed out next Tuesday. I have no doubt in my mind that half of them will come whining on the first that they knew where this was all along and why didn’t I ask. :smack:

emily, you don’t have a coffee maker in your apartment?

metal mouse, I think you’re finally getting the hang of this retirement thing. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not a huge football fan, but I like the tailgate parties. As the Titans haven’t been in the SB for years and the Packers were eliminated, I’ll root for the Falcons and make something good to eat for the SB party.

Other than that, just another manic Monday.

Happy Moonday!

It’s raining, been raining, gonna keep in raining.
At least it isn’t snow.

Happy Birthday Mooooooom!

oh yeah, I hate football and I especially hate the ravens.
If they lose and the colts lose, that is a good thing, but mostly I don’t care.

Howdy Y’all! I have managed to somewhat spiff up da cave. 'Tis gray and cloudy out with wind so a good day for that I reckon. In a while I shall head over to the church house to do stuff for men’s night. Hope we have a decent crowd.

wetone the strike through thingy is done thusly. [ del] stuff you want to strike through [ /del]. Take out the spaces. I put them there so you could see the text.

I, Sunny Daze, of my own free will, hereby admit that I have absolutely no idea who is playing in the Super Bowl. This probably means that I don’t care. :o

Feel free to shoot me some details… and

Happy Birthday Moooommmm!!!

Tugig! Would love to hear more, when you’re up to it! How “bigly” were those crowds?

I am on the phone trying to track down a mystery collection notice from years back that we noticed as part of this re-fi. We think it’s from a car accident where we were rear-ended. For some reason, the ambulance service was never paid by either our medical or the responsible parties car insurance. We think. I’ve been on hold for 20 minutes with no pick up, so it’s hard to see that anyone really wants our money. Sigh.

And now 35 minutes. Double sigh.

Other than that, today is laundry and possible grocery shopping. Maybe some menu planning. 'Beamer is home sick and 'Beamette is finally back at school after two weeks home sick.

Big dog is at the vet. They are looking for mumblety liver thing, Cushings (unlikely I think), and thyroid (more likely, I think). They get him all day and then in a day or two we’ll have something.

I think the steroids are helping, but I’m feeling the side effects. First day I was wired all day. Yesterday I was feeling irritable. Today I’m feeling the not so much sleep. Without the wired or the irritable to distract me, I’m noticing the headache more, but it’s definitely not at level 9 “bear trap on head” right now, which is an improvement.

Happy Moanday all!

[del]Dogbutt is a big fat dummy.[/del]

Cool!

Thanks, Swampy!

Happy Birthday, Mom!!!
You still ain’t as old as me. :stuck_out_tongue:

We have 5 grandchildren, and they all played/play sports. And I have enjoyed watching them play. Professional sports, on the other hand, can fall off the face of the earth for all I care. I do not feel that declaring myself a fan of a winning team makes me, personally, a winner.
I do ,however, still have a lot of family down around Atlanta, so now I will have 2 reasons to ignore facebook.

Ya know, I remember working for a living, in an office even, but this business of not having enough to do while at work sounds like a fairy tale to me. Is that a real thing? :dubious:

Wifey took our coffee maker to some big meeting or other she was having this morning. I had to pour hot water through a paper thingee full of coffee into my cup.
I couldn’t remember how much coffee to put in and must have spent 20 minutes trying to make myself 1 stoopit cup of sorta coffee. :(:smack:

I think about odd things in the morning.
I think I have mentioned that I am lactose intolerant. I have decided that I am also arugula intolerant. I hate arugula and won’t tolerate it in my salad. I never order salad at restaurants anymore 'cause the fashion is to put arugula in everything nowadays. I hope this fad passes someday soon.

For some odd reason, **FCD **has seized on arugula as his stock answer when I ask him what veggie he’d like with dinner. I’m pretty sure he has no idea what it is, but he likes to say it.

Have I ever mentioned that I’m married to a crazy person? He acts normal in front of others, but I know the Truth!

Almost time to go home. Yay!!

Arugula is known as rocket across the pond. I also love the bit from My Blue Heaven when Steve Martin does a thing about how much he loves arugula and can’t get it in the suburban grocery store.

I love [del]liver[/del] potato chips

Make arugula soup.

The local news showed pictures of large and in charge Albany, Jawja. We’re supposed to be getting strong winds tonight. Hopefully I’ve sufficiently battened all the hatches.

I’m so glad I didn’t have to go to irk today becausethis happened not a block away from ye olde irkplace.

We went to Tequila Grill for supper. It was OK, but I like Salsa’s better. Now we’re home, out of the drizzly, windy, icky night. Chillage shall ensue for a while, then beddy-bye.

All in all, a decent day.

I ended up getting out of work an hour and a half late. And I had to go Krogering after I walked Gordie, since I was out of coffee beans.

Yay!

pronounced AROOOOOO- gala!"?
and

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOOOOOMMMMM!!!

Holy crap!
