It is usually at the end of the rope.
Happy Toosday!
The sun is finally shining, but it was a bit brisk when I let the dog out.
Noting much different today from any other day. I think I have the most boring life, but boring is good.
Looks like I killed teh MMP.
I tried a new recipe this morning.
Ham, egg, and cheese cups. Not bad except the ham was too salty and I think a little toast to go with it would have been nice - although that would defeat the purpose of having a high protein, low carb recipe.
Lunch break! Much needed…
My sweetie popped in to see me this morning. Actually, he came to see the electrical engineer down the hall, but I’m sooooo irresistible! And I introduced him to my boss - they were talking about software and analysis and stuff.
And now I’m having a yummy chef’s salad - yay for healthy lunch!
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Closing shift tonight.
Back from the dentist; regular check. I got a small chip that needs to be fixed next week or so. No mention of robbie or mike or earnie. Sorry ---- been watching the retro channels a lot.
'Beamer is still sick, so it’s off to the doctor this morning.
Hubby is off to CA again this afternoon.
Then, when he gets back he may have to go to Texas to see his mom. She has fallen. It doesn’t sound serious, but it doesn’t sound like she is getting the help she needs. His brother is there until Thursday, and then I guess Hubby might have to go.
I and the kids to go CA on Saturday for several days. They have school breaks and we’ll be doing various doctor things that we can’t seem to get lined up in OR yet.
Busy times.
I have the crud from the kid.
Tests eliminated some things on Doggy, and we’re waiting on the rest.
So that’s the news from sunny OR for now.
blurf At irk of course. Doing things I have managed to put off for far too long. Sometimes I just hate my job. Now I know why they preach so much about suicide prevention…
Howdy Y’all! Back at da cave after packin’ and deliverin’ stuff. There are places to take stuff for distribution. I know stuff goes from there to those in need so no worries. I know because I know the folks who are doin’ that. Right now, damage is still bein’ assessed so there’s no goin’ in there yet except for people who need to be there. I have a feelin’ there will be ongoin’ needs for months to come. Just a sad situation for so many people right now.
Pepper steak 'n rice for dindin. Squish will also be prepared. We eat a lot of squishes. We like squish.
Well, so much for sleeping in; up at 0530. Not much accomplished, but I did get my last tax document, so I need to get the 2016 Turbo Tax and get to it. Could be interesting, since my forms are partially from work and also from Retirement funding, so it’s going to be a mixed bag. Could make the calculating interesting.
Temperature is about 50F, rain forecast for tomorrow afternoon, and life is still good. All y’all take care, now.
Had to pop in with this tidbit: I got an email from a former coworker. This was at the place I left to come here. He said in the last 2 months, he’s had ONE DAY of work. He and 4 others just sit around all day. What a waste!
I’m so glad I got out of there.
OK, back to work. Stop distracting me.
So if Wednesday is hump day, does that make Tuesday grump day by default?
ruble, anywhere but the MMP with that TV reference and no one would be old enough to get the reference.
swampy, I do a lot of squishes too, especially since I got a spiralizer.
We are returning to the regularly scheduled January bit by bit. Last weekend was shirtsleeve weather, now it’s denim jacket temp and by the end of the week, we’ll be back to winter coats. Have I ever mentioned that I plan on retiring where it doesn’t get beyond denim jacket winters?
So, I’m thinking I might just quit my job in order to more thoroughly devote myself to getting a new one. I have plenty of money in my bank account and a sizeable savings account (for the moment). I think my outlook will improve immensely if I no longer have to start every day with dread.
I know I wished Mom a Happy Birthday in here, I saw me do it. Therefore I didn’t wish her one on facebook, and now the facebook gods are angry with me and keep nagging me to do so, so Mom. if I end up wishing you happy birthday again on facebook, just roll with it, okay?
I’ve got a dentist appointment in about an hour. Just a cleaning, I suppose, and meeting the new dentist who took over the practice. Nothing to see here.
I do hope your doggy is gonna be okay Sunny. I love dogs. More than people these days.
Draelin I worked 7.5 years at a place that I hated so much that I would get a stomach ache every Sunday night just thinking about going back there. Ruined my health, it did, and probably took 5 years off of my life. Then they had the nerve to fire me and lie to the unemployment office to try to keep me from getting benefits.
Anyway, do what you have to do for your own health and sanity. Good luck.
Just don’t do or say anything that HR can use against you when prospective employers call checking your resume. Trust me on this.
That’s all I got. Happy moanday!
It’s the birthday of a friend of mine. Remembering the time we went dancing in the Austrian Alps to the music of a cimbasso.
I used to know a girl named Cimbasso, but I don’t believe that she was Austrian.
Thank you for the good doggy wishes everyone. He is older for his breed (right off the top end in fact) and seems pretty well contented with life. We’re just trying to figure out a few things and how to keep him comfortable. He’s a big sweet lovable bear of a dog. He’s just getting old. Part of price of admission with doggies. We shall the follow the road and see where it leads us. (He would like it not to lead back the vet place please. He does not like the vet place.)
'Beamer officially has the flu. He had the flu shot, so I guess we’re going with the flu would have been worse without it? The PITA for me is that I am NOT supposed to be around anyone with the flu, because of the steroids, and, well, I’ve already got symptoms. So it’s into the dr’s this afternoon for me. Yay?
**Bumba **- no biggie. FB nags me even after I do post b-day wishes to my friends. FB is just naggy.
I stopped on the way home and grabbed some sushi for supper at my sweetie’s request. I like easy suppers.
A little bit of sun has peeked thru, but more rain is promised late tomorrow into Thursday. At least it’s not snow…
I was going to devote my vacation to whipping my resume into shape for some job-hunting but then my car interfered.
Whenever I think of the shorter lives of our dogs I read again these two poems by Kipling.
