A Fresh Start MMP

Chocolate! Cadbury eggs! I think they make a chocolate inside variety now too! Nom, nom!

GrumpyBunny what are these trigger point injections? I get Botox for the migraines. Sounds similar, but no one gives me toradol.

Kid 2 has vacation this week. Kid 1 has vacation next week. I think there’s a conspiracy afoot to make life difficult for working parents. :dubious:

Bobbio +3, or 4 or whatever we’re at. Just blurf to infinity and beyond!

He not only likes looking at his Xrays and such - he’ll go on YouTube and watch surgical procedures so he has an idea of what the Dr will do to him. I think if he’d had a push in the right direction when he was in school, he’d have become and orthopedic surgeon.

But he’s a mechanical engineer - similar skillset, less blood (most of the time.)

I just bought us tickets to the Blue Crabs’ opening game. We’ve been to a few games - it’s fun, and for $13 per ticket, it’s a cheap date! Now, as long as it doesn’t rain…

Supper was ribs - yummerrific!! It appears 4 bones is a good dinner serving. The dishwasher is running, Higgs is outside barking like an idiot, and **FCD **is crashed on the couch. It’s been a good day.

Just finished my chocolate bender. Whoa.

A part of my afternoon was sucked up with Sims 2, so I must try to work on stuff tonight.

I think it’s time to recline and watch some TV.

MWAH!

Toss some treats into those crates and let her find them… then toss some more in tomorrow morning…
I leave my cats crates out all the time in a spare room, open, and occasionally toss treats or toys into them. The cats use them as their private “caves”. If you have space, you might want to try leaving them out like that. Saves a lot of hassle at vet-time because the crates aren’t associated with vet-only times.

Hi everybody! Irk wasn’t too bad today… boss was in a good mood and some kind soul brought in TONS of leftover chocolates of all sorts to share. burp So it was a fun day for a moanday… home now and got laundry rolling. Going to be lazy.

(I’ve made it in here on a Monday two weeks in a row - what is WRONG with me?!)

My family has so much chocolate that we got at discount prices today, that I think it may even last until the end of the week! Maybe even beyond!
As for cats and their carriers, my sister’s cat sometimes like to just hang out in his carrier if a towel or blanket was left in there. I miss that poor kitty.

Yeah – it’s not always a good idea to act in haste.

About Wednesday in the fancy shops is where the really deep discounts start. Not that I have this all planned out or anything.

And people wonder why I hunt them with sabot rounds in my .300 mag. All is fair in love and killing squirrels.

OK ---- I’m showing my age and being a little sacrilegious at the same time but ---- I miss the chocolate crucifixes. It was a little odd; do you start biting His head, hands or feet first. But they are such a memory of childhood that the taste is still golden in my mind.

Howdy Y’all! Home from a loooooooooooong day of irk and funeralizin’. I have to say though, if my send off should be half as good as Arthur’s send off, it’ll still be a good send off. The service was sad and also joyous. The music was incredible. The reception at the art museum afterwards was super. People laughin’ and talkin’ and sharin’ their stories of Arthur. Good food, wine, and for those who wished, Arthur’s favorite drink, ginger ale and burboun. I had one in his honor. I promised his widow, Sylvia, I’d come over and cook her up a piece of shoe leather. She likes steak well-done also.

Read all but retained little, so yays, boos, hugs, smooches, noogies, wedgies, trouts, chitlins, how you doin’s all around as needed.

I’s tahrd!

Nitey Nite Y’all!

You’re in Canada. Next winter starts for you around what? September 5th or so?

To be honest, it was another kind of bender and ages ago, but my last one involved several days and waking up in a fog somewhere in western Ohio. Stick with the chocolate, kiddo ----- it’s quicker and a lot safer.
Gotti ----- best time for lab work or tests in Pittsburgh is just before the start of any Steelers game; you could play Frisbee in the hallways. The worst time to hit an ER in Pittsburgh is towards the end or just after a really close Steelers game; there are so many people coming in with chest pains that you may have to wait until the next day. It’s all a matter of timing.

Heard about that ------- terrible!

Happy Moonday!

Home from the armpit.
It wasn’t too bad.

See y’all tomorrow because I am tired.

I get Botox for migraines, too!

Botox, then about six weeks later, trigger point injections. It helps reduce the muscle inflammation/tension/knots that are part of chronic migraine feedback loop.

The Toradol is new – the doc said he didn’t want to do plain steroids because spring is coming and I might need steroids for my asthma/allergies (he’s got a point). So he did Toradol to help with some crazy tight shoulder muscles.

Nerve blocks might also be done, it all feels the same if you’re on the receiving end.

Here’s a link

Thanks! I’ll ask the doc. I’ve been going in for infusions in between. Takes 3-4 hours, and is bleah.

Seriously?

Page 2 on a Monday?

I have good news…
I got a new (used) car!! I am now the proud owner of a 2013 Nissan Cube. It is (not purple) pearlescent white. I’m trying to think of ways to purple it up a bit like some kind of decal or stripes.

Anyone have any thoughts? I got stuck on purple ants for awhile, carrying something like forks or picnic foods or a Rubik’s cube or ice cubes. I also thought of vines with purple flowers.

Mrs. Plant (v.2.0) and I had a problem with this and Mama Plant’s preacher.
Coming to it as an atheist, I related to the Jewish idea that death was a horrific tragedy, and not to be celebrated as a path to a happy afterlife. The Preacher wanted us to give him jokes to tell. He made up his own, and actually called us us “Unbelievers.” I expected to be burned at the stake.

Maybe someday your wish will come true.

Who schedules a hockey booster club meeting during a game?:dubious:

17 hour workday over. Crashing at parents home a few miles from the terrible CO poisoning.

Up early tomorrow to see what happens then. Good night.

**tugig **- I heard about the CO poisoning on the news this morning. Father and 7 kids, using a generator for heat - they think they died a week ago… so sad.

Less tragically, it’s starting to rain a bit and the balance of the week is supposed to be rather icky with on and off rain. But it’s staying above freezing, so there’s that. Cats have a noon appointment with the vet, so around 11, I need to catch Ziva and get her in the crate. After I shower, I’ll lock the bedroom to keep her from hiding under the bed. We’ll see how it goes.

Other than that, no real plans for the day. I’ll probably run the vacuum - for some reason, there seem to be a gazillion leaves on the floor. The dishwasher will need to be emptied, and I suppose I could do some tidying. Or recline and read - that’s another good choice.

Happy Tuesday!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 68 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 87 for the day and maybe late afternoon rain. We shall see. I reckon I should put the a/c on before I leave da cave this mornin’. This will be the first time this year.

flytrap I say one should gauge the family to determine whether or not stuff like jokes should be part of the homily (sermon, eulogy, what have you). Sometimes it’s a good idea but imo often it is not a good idea. That “preacher” was a jerk for not listenin’ to the family.

gigity I saw a report about the co poisonings. Just horrible!

Ok, that’s all I got. I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, alas and alack, irk purtification must commence.

Happy Tuesday Y’all!

The ants sound really cool to me. I also know someone who had a Scion painted to it looked like a grape – purple hues making is almost rounded at the edges. Used one of those shrink-wrap type things rather than pay for real paint.

Damn 5AM foot itch -------- this is getting old fast.

You realize I love you dearly and all that but --------- that fake yawn isn’t fooling anyone. After we kill all the lawyers, perky happy morning people are going to be next on the list. <grumble, grumble>
