Ziva is fast!! I was brushing her, then I picked her up and put her in the crate, and before I could close it, she was GONE!! But Higgs cornered her, and I discovered that if I lifted her by the scruff of the neck, she tucked her legs in like a baby kitteh and I was able to crate her quite easily. Lesson learned.
Taz was NOT happy about going into his carrier, and he let me know all the way to the vet’s. But they’re both healthy and they’ve had their shots. Taz is almost 10 years old and he weighs just shy of 12#. Ziva is 6, and a bit over 13#. Both are avoiding me at the moment - I should check my side of the bed for cat pee. :eek:
Moments after we got home, the power went out for about 20 minutes. I was wondering if I should call the power co, hoping I could find their number (no computer or modem, yanno) when the juice started flowing again. So it’s all good.
Now, I should probably vacuum…
Called the bank, no fight at all, they removed both overdraft fees.
While I had them on the line I changed my address, they are the only ones who wouldn’t let me change it online.
Called the doctor, no problem, they have been having problems with the online payment system and discontinued it.
I forgot to see if I can change my next appointment. It’s scheduled for 2 days after my surgery and I will still be in the hospital.
I got one box from Amazon today, the other schedule for Thorsday.
Now I can’t put it off any longer, although I am sure I will find a way, I have to do my taxes. Funny how I got them done so quickly last year when I needed a copy for the mortgage company. This year I look at them and my head swims.

MOOOOOOM yay for healthy kittehs! A lot of folks say don’t pick up a cat by the scruff but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
My sinuses ache. Everybody tells me I don’t look like I feel good. I don’t. Stoopid pollen.
Mommy cats do it quite a bit. 
I wouldn’t carry Ziva around by her scruff, but lifting her off the floor and sticking her into the crate doesn’t appear to have hurt her. She still won’t come to me for skritches, but that’s attitude, not scruff-picking.
Taz has forgiven me, like I was worried about that.
Just ran the vacuum - dang, what a lot of hair!!! All three critters shed way too much!! I’ve also emptied the dishwasher, so I’ve accomplished all I wanted to do today. Now, what shall we have for supper??

UGH! Why if I made the about the same amount this year as I made last year do I owe a whole lot more? Of course the amount may come down as I go along. I still haven’t entered all my medical expenses. I still haven’t entered my mortgage expenses either.
Howdy all! Sneaking in a post from irk.
I have a coworker that is crazy. She manages another facility and does have her hands full but she turned in her budget with a 35% raise for herself written into it. My boss called me and asked me to help her with her budget. I am to try to talk some sense into her. I have to give her credit for having big balls.
Here’s hoping it is warming up for everyone. Here in Paradise it’s almost hot already.
Highs in North Little Rock are already in the 80s and 70s, will be in the 90s in a month. :dubious:
I pick up the cats by the scruff when they need to be crated. I also scruff them when they need flea medicine on the back of the neck, or I need them to hold still. I learned this from my mama. I polished my technique at the 3 vet offices I worked at back in the day. Sometimes you want a cat to hold still, or go into crate or cage without, I dunno, removing your eye.
I intend to file for an extension and get an accountant this year. I need helps with the taxes.
And now irk calls me. Literally. Sigh.
Howdy from da cave! I survived irk but was not all that productive. Stoopid sinuses. When I feel like this I have a hard time concentratin’ so it feels like I don’t get anything done. I picked up some deli stuff last night on my way home from funeralizin’ so dindin shall be sammiches and chips. Da bear ain’t in cook mode.
Well, you can’t say she’s insecure, that’s for sure. Dang! The only time I got a raise like that was when I quit my menial job at the junior college and got my first engineering job! Yeah, I know, it doesn’t count as a raise, but still.
My sweetie came home and crawled into bed. He had a bad night last night. I’ve been playing some online games, dozing off in front of the computer. I’m sure the gray day has a lot to do with it.
Still no decision about supper. I wish we had a good Chinese place around here.
Sammiches and chips have been ingested. OYKW is soakin’ in the tub. The a/c is on in da cave. Life is good.
We did sketties for supper. Now we’re having some chocolate bunneh for dessert. Ziva has forgiven me - she came to help when I went to the bathroom.
