Mecha-Kong always loses.

(out of play) This picture was so weird I had to research it. It’s by an artist named Mark Tavares and the link I followed to its source labeled it Kong1976_002.jpg. So evidently it’s a commentary about the DeLaurentiis movie. The pose is based on the famous Muhammad Ali/Sony Liston knock-out.

In retrospect, the humans’ big mistake was in letting the sentient apes sharpen their fighting skills.

None of the sequels can stand up to the 1933 King Kong.
