Actually, Mars, the main reason that I didn’t answer Guin here is that we’d already addressed the question in her own Pit thread on religious bizarros by the time I saw she’d asked it here. I think my position on JSS echoes Mars Horizon’s:

My e-mail no longer works for the good reason that it was a former additional screen name on the AOL account of a good friend who has, out of her sheer kindness and generosity, been maintaining screen names for about ten family members and friends to provide them with e-mail addresses. ASAP I will open an account on a free e-mail provider and change the one listed here to match.
I decided that a sabbatical from the boards was not needed for the outstandingly good reason that the prayers of Lissla Lissar, CJHoworth, and Triskadecamus above were answered – and were answered through the kind words and feelings expressed by the posters to this thread. I found myself renewed and refreshed and motivated to “keep on keepin’ on” by knowing what I have meant to a whole bunch of you – and I’m at once humbled and exalted in spirit by having read those responses. Thank you, one and all.
