A Great Big, Beautiful MMP!

I was thinking about what to have for NOL and now, thanks to Soapy’s invitation to the local shul, I know what!

Pasta with shrimp. Om nom nom!

Know what’s even better than dragging your ass to work for 7:30am for a conference call?

Being told that your topic will have to be postponed, because key people suddenly realised they couldn’t attend. Which means you’ll have to drag your ass to work for 7:30am tomorrow… just to discuss something that a) you have nothing to do with and b) couldn’t really give a rat’s ass about even if you did.

I am filled with rage. So. Much. RAGE.

Taters, if waiting an extra day to get the car *you’re paying for *is the worst disappointment your son has ever experienced at your hands, I think you’ve done a hell of a job as a mom. He needs a smack upside the head.

Heathen. (says the crustacean eater- don’t do pork though. Weird, huh)

:D:D:D:D

Get a room, you two!

oh my dear, if you only knew why he trouted me . . .

hmmmmm

I’m not going to touch that line with a ten foot pole or an eleven foot Hungarian…

Good morning everyone. Taterson seemed to calm down last night and was actually civil and nice to me and Mr. Taters.

To give him credit, he paid for driver’s ed on his own; we didn’t pay for it. He rarely asks for money, and if he does, he wants to pay it back as soon as possible. So, he’s not normally a self-entitled git, he just had a spazoid hour or three.

Bleh, at work, don’t want to be here.

My mother came by last night. Within 15 minutes of her arrival, I’d had enough. It’s really sad that I couldn’t wait for her to leave.

I guess I should get back to doing productive stuff at work.

Rosie, please see my facebook email. Thanks.

:: yells “Heeeeeeeyyyyyyy!!!” as she speeds thru MMP ::

I am officially blurf today. And I’m having my blurf back at home now! We left NY at 7.30pm last night and landed at 7.30am in London, then had to get a train from Heathrow to Paddington, a tube from Paddington to Euston Square, walk down the road to Euston station and then get another train up here, then a cab home. I think I deserve a bit of blurf, don’t you?

Trip was fun, I am almost too tired to do anything except flop on the sofa for the rest of the evening. Bed is looking very tempting but I am trying to stay awake until later in the evening so that I can make some attempt at getting back to normal. Even more important as I have to go to work tomorrow. On the plus side, it’s only two days until the weekend and that cannot be a bad thing.

We collected the fuzzbutts from the moggery, they seem pleased to be home although it’s never obvious and I am often suspicious that they’re secretly plotting something awful.

Anyway, you’ll be pleased to hear that the quest for good beer was a success and some very yummy brews were finally tracked down. As ever, it’s the end of the trip when you find the really good stuff!

Off to unpack and do laundry now…envy me.

I moved on Monday. Alone. In the rain. It was very much like a Hemingway novel. New roomie is nice as is her boyfriend. They have two hyper puppies that Petercat will probably terrorize once I get him over here.

My computer’s #@$@# up for some reason. It’s over at a local computer fixin’ place right now. I did take it to Geek Squad this morning because I didn’t have a phone book to look up local places. Geek Squad has been judged, determined lousy. If you can’t check the main power switch on the tower to make sure the darn thing will turn on when you plug it in, you fail at geek. Just for the record.

Major rosie’s sig to all! I’ll post more when I have computer access again and I’ll regale you with Tales from the Checkin Desk.

Feel moderately productive today. I’ve made chicken broth (I think we’ll have chicken and dumplings for dinner tonight- aren’t you proud, swampy? What goes with chicken and dumplings?) done lots of laundry, and tidied.

Also, when sorting laundry I discovered what it feels like to have a centipede try to walk up my arm. I am still a bit squirmy about it. I did not like the experience.

Also, we have a bunch of enormous green tomatoes Attacks Husband’s parents gave us. I don’t forsee fried green tomatoes in our future. Can I just chop them up and put them in the enormous (for twenty people) batch of chili I’m making today or tomorrow?

Welcome home, BooFae! The fuzzbutts are just pretending they didn’t miss you… ours like to punish us by pretending they’ve forgotten who we are each time we come back from a trip.

Glad you found yourself a place, Spaz! Sorry to hear about the 'puter, tho… hope they can patch it up right quick (and for cheap).

LiLi, dunno about green tomatoes in chili… they might be a bit chunky (they tend to stay quite firm when cooked, which is what makes them so good for breading and frying). How about chutney or jam? I’ve been oogling this jam recipe, but I don’t think I’ll have enough green tomatoes to try it out this year.

Also, ew to centipedes. Ew ew ew.

Work can bite my fat bear ass.

Ima have a beerverage or four.

Then I shall calm down. Maybe.

On second thought, those mangy sonsabitches aint’ good enough to bite my fat bear ass.

saw it - replied - and I understand completely

Home on time, more or less. I stopped at Food Lion for milk and eggs, and I saw Mac-n-cheese for TEN CENTS and several other good deals. So I got out of there $38 later, with a $13 saving on the order. I’m happy. No, I didn’t get THAT much mac-n-cheese - just 4 boxes. They’re good for those “I want something quick but I don’t know what I want” days. Hard to lose for a dime.

Meatloaf and smashed N.O.T. with onion gravy and some sort of veggie matter for supper. Jeans in the washer. Just another day in FairyChatParadise!

Well, let’s hear it. More iPhones?

Arrrrrrggggghhhh!!!
