We’ve all experienced it…You’re out jogging, or walking, or hell, just sitting there really, you get up to go to the bathroom, take a shower, whatever…
The pants and underwear (should you choose to wear undies) are down, and…whoosh! The unmistakable funk of sweaty gonads fills the air. Maybe not “fills the air”, but you know what ballsweat smells like, right?
Heres the dilemma- I’ve been using deodorant on the low boys for a while now, and I was beginning to wonder whether or not the lack of perspiration could adversly effect the ability of said boys to produce sperm.
I hear all the time the the cooler they are (ruling out sub zero temps, mind you) the better off they are as far as sperm production. Could reducing the amount of funky sweat hurt my ability to reproduce in the long run?
By the way, if you’d like to reduce the discomfort of overheated testes, deodoratn works great. The stickage factor is exponentially decreased, thus reducing the need for “adjustments” in public. A very comfortable habit, this deodorant thing, but I turn to the dope for the health impact…
Sweat works best if the skin is exposed and the sweat is allowed to evaporate. Since the sweat on your scrotum really isn’t exposed, the sweat just collects. So basically, I’d say there’s no harm in it because the sweat really isn’t doing anything in the first place. Then again, I’m not a doctor, so I may be missing something big.
Trust me, its nothing big, I mean, I’m sure they’re average. Wait…What? sorry, got distracted!
…but your reply does make sense. That was my whole concern: The sweat doesn’t seem to be doing much, so why not eliminate it and replace it with a whole lot of comfort. Seems reasonable to me
I’m wondering if it’s OK to be putting anti-perspirant on the scrotum. The absorption of the metallic ingredients so close to the testes is what concerns me.
P.S. I think you do mean anti-perspirant and not deodorant. The latter just covers up the smell, the former inhibits sweat production.
You may want to try one of those “crystal” deodorants. It’s some kind of a salt that is inhospitable to the bacteria that cause odor. I use it on my underarms every day, and it works great (antiperspirants make me itch like crazy). It doesn’t stop the sweating, it just keeps it from smelling.
Three years ago, I had to wear this big plastic boot to help with a tendon problem in my ankle. After about five days, it started smelling rank, so I then applied crystal deodorant every couple of days, and had no more smell problems for the remainder of the six weeks.
Is there any associated burning or itching, particularly where the crotch meets the legs? If so, you may harboring a case of jock itch in which case I would recommend Tinactin® Jock Itch Powder Spray
Men who use anti-persperant constantly under therir arms often end up getting cysts in their pits…not letting out the salt and stuff makes the pores rotten…do you really want to risk that happening to your low boys?
