Been away all day, but see nothing on last night’s CSI episode. I thought it was the most muddled and confusing one yet, and still not sure just what the heck happened. Nor did I much care by the end.
Anybody else feel this way, or was I just sleepy? Of course, I detest rap, so that may have had something to do with it.
It’s not just you. I let my VCR catch this episode (“Poppin’ Tags”, for the record), got around to actually watching it yesterday, and felt like I needn’t have bothered.
That’s not to say it was a total loss or even the worst of this, the worst season so far. Brass amused with his worldweary/streetwise schtick. Nick was tha Man (“We’re mad scientists” - yes you are, Rage Boy). And be-jumpsuited* Sara with her hair pinned up, crawling around a car…yeeeeah. But otherwise it was back and forth between Fast Forward and Mute.
*That is so a real word, I heard Dr. Forrester say it. Or maybe it was Servo.
I liked the episode right until the end, when they revealed the last bad guy and I realized I had forgotten which one he was.
Naaaw, it wasn’t just you, KlondikeGeoff. And don’t blame it on the music…I’m fine with rap – this episode was just pretty weak.
I blame it on CBS execs trying to pull in new viewers by putting real-life rap stars on the show. You end up with a weak (and convoluted) story.
This one ranks right up there with… well… it’s just rank.
I mean c’mon… the big clue came from the guy to f***in stupid to remove a staple from his leg?
And anyone that uses those staple guns knows that if you dont have the strength of 5 mules, that staple will just about fall out on it’s own.
I was so hoping by the end of the episode that it was $ who set up his own kidnapping/video for the publicity… now that would have made it worth it.
I’m glad it wasn’t just me. Hearing Nick trying to talk like the rappers was cringe worthy. It would’ve been funny if they were trying to make him look silly, but it slowly dawned on me that they were trying to make him appear cool.
No, not just you. I watched it last night and at the end, said “That was stupid.” Her father carved her up for jumping up and down on a bed while wearing a bikini? It’s not like she was fellating a horse before a cheering crowd, or anything. Hell, I’d jump up and down on a bed while wearing a bikini for $500.
