Fiddling around a lot online has caused me to start wondering about the proper spelling of one of MP’s most usefull quotes for everyday language, but I’m curious as to how to punctuate it properly. So if you could, is it proper to write:
“Nudge, nudge, wink wink”
“Nudge, nudge; wink, wink”
“Nudge nudge, wink wink”
Nudge, Nudge. Wink, wink"
or
“Nudgenudge, winkwink”
I really just don’t know.
… use a hyphen, Dude!

Notice that the closest line to “Nudge nudge, wink wink” is:
“Yes. Nudge nudge. Snap snap. Grin, grin, wink, wink, say no more.”
Which qualifies this sketch for the “Frequently misquoted movie lines” thread.
I don’t know if it’s necessarilly misquoted as it is paraphrased. I mean, usually when I’m making silly little sexual inuendoes towards someone, I don’t always talk about photography, so adding in the “snap, snap, grin, grin…” would be a little extraneous. Also, there are no commas between the “Nudge nudge,” but there are between the two winks ("…wink, wink…"). Hmmm…
Oh well, overall, I’m better off than before, so thank you all for your help, even if the underline result is proving me a total ass.
