A Maine Vacation MMP - yeah, summer time, y'all!

Point taken. She looks like she could open beer bottles with her teeth.

I was thinking of a femalish, peroxidized version of Tom Cruise on acid…

someone needs to learn the difference between a smile, a grin and an ad for dentures adhesives.
Next week I’m teaching a course in the other end of Spain. I’m flying (have to change planes in Madrid), at their insistence. The client bought the tickets and sent them to me (they’re e-tickets). I’ll never understand how do companies that have purchasing agreements with big travel agencies manage to pay 50% more  than I would have paid if I’d bought the tickets through a webpage

Good luck to the people having intahvius

Home and exhausted. FCD, daughter, and I left this morning for breakfast before going to the marina. Daughter and I scrubbed the hull, then she helped her dad replace some hardward and I applied the rubbing compound to the area we scrubbed. Tomorrow, it gets waxed. SIL arrived after work, and he helped me while the other 2 continued their fun and games in the ass end of the boat. We gave up about 3:30, came home and showered, then went out for bad Chinese.

Laundry washing right now. The kids have gone grocery shopping. **FCD **and I are just crashed. My feet and my right elbow hurt and I’m just beat.

Tomorrow, I’ll be painting the bottom while they wax above. I’m hoping we can make a short day of it - we shall see.

Meanwhile, I’m going to knit the night away. And sleep well tonight, I hope.

Work is slooooooow today.

And…um…not to nag, but…it’s my birthday.

HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SNOWBUNNY!!!

Went out for breakfast, various errands run, some household chores done, and now, I want to relax. Hubby, however, wants to play WoW. Sigh, I guess I will, but I don’t feel like it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SNOWBUNNY!!!

Oooh, wait until Swampy hears tell of this … he’ll have to do his birthday song for ya.

Been a lazy day here … and I’m feeling especially lazy after reading about all the work that FCM and her family did today. I won’t even think about all the work that FarmChick has to do on her farm, especially with the goat births!

OMG, my brother sent a pic of me from two years ago, and I added on facebook. Now you see why I avoid pics of self…! :smack:

At any rate, thank goodness it’s the weekend!

Happy Birthday, Bunny!

How old are ya, you young’un?

I came home after working, and totally crashed for an hour and a half. I had the weirdest dream! I broke a full drink glass at some bar, and sucked up all the broken glass into my mouth. Then I went to the restroom to empty it out, and all three sinks were full. I pulled some little girl out of the way, and proceeded to empty my mouth. I didn’t cut myself! Then I woke up, and dozed off again. Bizarre!

Dinner was soft beef tacos and bean tostadas. Yummerific!

We received a package from the Texas lottery commission. I told y’all about the misleading lottery ticket, right? So they sent an insulated lunch-size bag, a t-shirt(in a package the shape of Texas,) a fold up stadium seat, a plastic thingie to maybe put your insurance card in in your car, and some other stuff. No money and no free scratch-offs, though.

So when I opened my package of TEN Ortega tostada shells, and there were only nine, I sent off an email to them. Maybe I’ll get some free stuff from them!

Hugs, yays, boos, chocolate, and trouts as required…

Happy Birthday snowbunny*!!!*

The tailgate rocked, the Canes won, I think I’m deaf from the screaming and noise.

Rebo, weird dream.

Thanks, guys. I am…33. Gaaah. It’s weird. Not that it’s a bad thing, but it’s weird nonetheless.

I think my brother forgot. He hasn’t called me. Oh well, I will make him squirm by calling him on his birthday which is the 31st. Heh. Last year I could hear him squirm over the phone when I made that same call. Ahh, the power of being the older sister! g (It’s not like I want presents from him or anything, but I think a call is reasonable!) As weird as my being 33 is to me, the idea of him turning 25 is even weirder. I remember meeting him!

My coworkers, on the other hand, have been awesome. I got a card, some flowers, and a sinful Oreo pie thing today. Yum.

Rebo, why is everything in Texas shaped like Texas? Seriously. More importantly, why did I view this as perfectly normal until we moved to California when I was 16? g

I know, right? It’s bizarre! A squished up t-shirt in the shape of Texas. Mr Rebo is saving it. He also has a t-shirt in the shape of a guitar. It’s shrinkwrapped like that.

Maybe it’s because we are such a unique shape, unlike all the rectangle states…

Hell, I dunno!

I’ve been knitting up a storm and watching German TV online. Wild, huh?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, snowbunny!!!

Aren’t those little goats cute? I loved the video…

It’s way past my bed time. Guess I’ll toddle off…

Belated HAPPY B-DAY, snowbunny!!
Yanno, if your mom was still hanging with us, she’d have made sure we all knew, so it’s her fault. Let her know we miss her, anyway.

Up early - big surprise, huh? It is for me - I stayed up till 11 watching an episode of NCIS that I’d not seen before. Of course, I knew the grand finale was bogus, thanks to Mythbusters - you can’t make a propane tank explode by shooting it with a pistol. Still, Mark Harmon - yum!

I woke up to a stack of clean jeans - **FCD **apparently finished the laundry after I crashed. He’s a good guy. Lucky me.

I’ve got a meatloaf thawing for supper, and we’ll have baked N.O.T. with it, and some sort of vegetable matter. I’m hoping we wrap and get home early enough that I’m not rushing to feed us all. That’s not fun.

The afghan I’m working on is looking good - it’s soft variegated in shades of pink and purple. Since I’m making it for a baby or young child, it won’t be any bigger than 36X42, I think. I hope to get 3 or 4 made before contacting Project Linus. And I want to make some lapghans to take to a nursing home - I’m pretty sure we’ve got one in the county. I just need to find a point of contact.

And that’s my morning. I feel the need… the need for caffeine!

Have a good day, all!

<gasp> I’m late! <gasp>

Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ here. Soon I need to get purtified for churchification, followed by work. It’s kinda chilly out so I let the heat run for a few minutes to take the chill off da cave.

Off in search of some more caffiene and brekkies.

I may put the new MMP up before I go beddy bye this evenin’. We shall see.

Later Y’all!

Happy Birthday, SNOWBUNNY!!!

Have been super busy and missed a bunch, so I hope everyone is happy and well.

Happy Belated Birthday, snowbunny!
Urk. Nat decided to have his screaming fit at six this morning. Till 7:30. Getting him up now. I think that’s worse than midnight because at least in the middle of the night I know he’ll eventually go back to sleep.

Good morning. Blurf. Back later with caffeine.

GT

Good morning. I’ve been up for the last 30 minute or so, and have coffee. My head is stuffed, my eyes are leaking, and I feel crappy. Stoopit cold…

FCM, stop being so darn productive! You’re tiring me out!

I don’t have much in the way of plans today. I hope to chill out and just relax.

It’s rainy and dreary here. What a surprise…not.

There really isn’t much going on here otherwise. I should get some more household chores done today, but we’ll see what I actually do. Oh, I’ll do laundry and such, but I’m not sure I’m up to floor washing and bathroom scrubbing.

HAPPY late BIRTHDAY SNOWBUNNY!

Happy belated burfday, snowbunny!

Looks like spring has most definitely arrived to the frozen northlands, because the crocuses are blooming in my garden! YAY! So far, just two… but that’s a start, right?

This afternoon’s agenda involves tidying up the kitchen, preparing a batch of hot sauce and burning a copy of last weekend’s photos so that I can burn a CD for my friend, and then onwards to LiLi’s for fabric exchange and cake.

How do you think I feel?? Sheesh… My poor footsies are killing me. My arms are like leaden jello. I’m just beat.

Meatloaf is in the oven with some russets. I think I’ll do some green beans to go with it. No dessert, tho. Too tired to bake and didn’t stop for ice cream. Oh well.

The boat has a red bottom. Later this week, we’ll put the black paint over it, and she’ll be ready to launch. And, in case someone is wondering, the different colors are to ensure we get 2 good coats. The bottom was blue, so when I put on the red, I could easily see if I missed any spots. Same deal when we put black over red. Clever, huh?

We also waxed and buffed the part of the hull that stays out of the water. It doesn’t look as good as we hoped, but it looks lots better than it was. We should be able to launch next weekend, and on Apr 1, we’ll be in our new floating home. Then we get to scrub the deck and the cabin top, and replace the lifelines, and install the new dodger, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Whew…

Well, off to finish supper. And snarf down some ibuprofen. Laterz…
