Haze, moving in can be a big step, but if/when is the right time is really different from one relationship to the next. Just go with what feels right for you… The Boy and I took nearly two years to get around to it, but then again, I also have friends who moved in within weeks (yes, weeks) and are very happy several years later. At least this one is short-term and comes with a very natural exit if you realise you’re not a good fit.
Yikes, Puggy! Here’s hoping the drugs kick in. I hope you sent your thyroid to bed with no dinner for misbehaving like that.
LiLi, Friday is out since The Boy has something work-related in the evening, but Sunday should be fine. We don’t have anything specific planned for the day, so just let me know what time is good and we’ll present ourselves at the designated time.
I’m trying to behave myself and had just a sandwich for lunch, but now I’m craving something sweet. Aargh.
LiLi, please take back your cranky, not-sleepy baby vibes! HRH has put 1.5 hours into NOT falling asleep the last 2 nights and I am grumpy and tired and fed up! Sigh … need food and beer (not necessarily in that order). I hope Nat sleeps!
I’ve been busy, productive butler today. I went and watched the Canes’ pregame skate, then took Gordie to the Dog park. Weenie Boy actually played with some other dogs for a change. I jsut swept, vacuumed(filled the container to max), and shampooed the living room carpet. I might nap before the game.
It’s finally sunny here - yay! It came out about lunch time. Rain tomorrow, ugh, but a lovely weekend promised… so far.
Lunch today was, um, different. Daughter took her class to a Chinese restaurant since they studied China earlier this year. She asked for help, just in case, and since I work a couple of miles away, I agreed. There were a bunch of parents present, but I planted myself between a couple of little boys and across from a couple of adorable little girls.
They all tried to learn to use chopsticks with little success. A few kids cleaned their plates completely and quickly, but others kinda picked and wasted. One little girl across from me confessed to being a picky eater, but when I pointed out that her teacher loved lo mein, she tried some herself. I also got her to try a little soy sauce on her fried rice. One of the boys next to me asked about the mustard and decided to try it. He immediately grabbed his ice water and downed half a glass. Cracked me up!!
All in all, it was an hour and a half out of the middle of my day. What kills me are the kids who keep asking “Are you *really *Mrs. M’s mother??” I think next time I go to their class, I’m going to take a pic of my daughter when she was in second grade.
Poke chops for supper. Dunno what sides yet. Other than that, a lazy evening. Yay.
Rebo, you gotta rassle me for swampy’s lobsters! Or at least share. I don’t think the guys in here could handle us rasslin’…
**Tupug **- Any plans yet to evict that no-good loafing thyroid? Sounds like yours is about as bad as mine. It’s funny to see the new parmacists do a double-take when they see my dose - 200 mcg of Levoxyl. Used to be 300, but that was just slightly too much.
I have been good today. I’ve decluttered my bathroom. I had a bunch of old stuff that I either didn’t like or hadn’t used in so long that it wasn’t any good anymore, so out it went. Next step…the fridge. But not today.
Now I think I need to embroider a “Cubicle, Sweet Cubicle” sign for my cubicle, Vundy. It’s all your fault.
Howdy Y’all! I was supposed to go to church for the Lenten thing tonight but I sorta forgot and right after work made a beeline for da cave. I remembered right as I pulled in the driveway and started to turn around and go but Satan got hold of me (that’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it) and made me stay home. Plus it’s a 26 mile round trip from da cave to church and I just didn’t wanna. So I had a frozen chimichanga for dindin. I even remembered to nuke it first.
LiLi not likin’ lobster I can understand but not likin’ shrimp is just crazy talk!
Puggy yikes! Hope the thyroid med makes you feel better.
BBBobbio name the hula dancer cutout and take it to lunch. That’ll give 'em sump’n to talk about at work.
MOOOOOOM a whole herd of second graders? ::shudder::
Yays, boos, hugs, trouts, woohoos and noogies as needed.
Another 200 mcg./day, my med is levothroid. The docs kept upping and upping the med, but I’ve been on the 200 mcg. for about 2 years now and guess it must be doing okay. Hashimoto’s here, and I’ve still got goiter.
Thank OG today was Wednesday! I’ve been working a bit on something new, crochet-wise. This afternoon, I went to the website of the local yarn shop, which I have not yet visited, btw, and discovered that they are asking for donations of 12" X 12" crocheted or knitted squares. One of the local HS’s has a knitting/crocheting club called KnitWits, and they’re going to put the squares together to make blankets for the homeless. Such a great project! And I’m going to take this opportunity to hopefully finally learn to crochet a granny square. Here is a link to the yarn shop’s website. Page down a bit, to see the info about the KnitWits at Eleanor Roosevelt HS.
Sorry. I hate seafood, except for fish and chips, which isn’t seafood, it’s part of the Deep Fried Food Group. Dotty, we definitely haven’t given away the cranky sleepless baby vibes- it looks like Nat’s got enough to share. Sorry. We’re currently having 1 to 2 hour crying sprees every night ourselves. It is not a lot of fun.
Speaking of which, I’m crashing soon. Before ten-thirty.
Oh, Muppet, do you still read any of the Recluce books? Mr. Lissar did a killing summary at dinner. I’ll see if he can repeat it on Sunday. They’re really bad, but I keep reading them.
