The use of “google is your friend” has its place. Like in GQ when somebody asks a question about how high is Mt. Everest. That is just a waste of bandwidth and processor time and pisses everyone off.
As far as the best colour, I like both BLUE and GREEN, so I’ll have to say TEAL is the best colour, 'nuff said (one of my personal ‘favourites’).
I thought Teal were a type of duck? Don’t get me wrong, I like ducks as much as the next person, but the local ones are more of a greeney-blue than that greeny-blue teal you have.
Again, Im not sure of the spelling. I’m used to hearing Yiddish, and have little exoerience reading German.
fay-GI-luh -n, slang-a derogatory term for a homosexual.
I don’t know whether it’s German or Yiddish, or where it originated. It’s possible that Brooks made up the word.
Re-COLOR
Yellow keeps you safe from Green Lantern. Well, the Silver and Modern ones anyway.
I’m fairly certain it’s Yiddish for “little bird,” and I’m not absolutely certain, but I believe it is used somewhat derogatarily, but not harshly - akin to someone from an older generation using “colored” without meaning offense, but that’s just the word they used. I’ve often thought of it as akin to “a little light in his loafers, if you know what I mean” kind of thing.

This discussion is over.
On a side note-some Spanish speaking friends have told me that one of the derogatory words for homosexual derives from the word “duck”
Why all the bird imagery when insulting members of the gay community?
Is it any way related to the Egyptians connecting the Ibis to the anus?(seriously-ancient Egyptian enemas have tips sculpted in the shape of Ibis heads)
Exactly. Additionally, it’s also the diminuative of Feigel, a very common female Yiddish name. It’s like calling a gay man a “Betty”. And yeah, you’re right about the “older generation”. My father uses the term occasionally, although he’s a very well educated man in his fifties with little to no homophobic tendencies. It’s just that he’s always used the word, just like his father always had bewfore him.
