My sig has been mostly the same since I arrived here so many months ago, and began my reign of threadkilling terror. It may have seen me through hard times, but I think it’s time for it to retire for a younger, better trained sig. I currently don’t have any webpages, or comments about me to use, so I’m generally looking for a cool quote I could use.
Also, would anyone care to tell me where my current quote is from? I’m completely in the dark, but it’s cool, so I used it.
Well you are more than welcome to check out the Get Your Personalized .sigs thread and take any of the many offered there and if don’t like our selection merely tell my experienced staff what you are looking for and we’ll see what we can do.
Be daring, be different, be impractical, be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary.–Sir Cecil Beaton
I dunno if it’s the original source, but your current sig occurs in a megadeth song. I forget which one right now, but a quick google search should enlighten…
I think you should stick with your current sig Speaker - it was the first sig that I remembered and thought about -so to speak - when I first started coming here. I now associate the sig with you - almost as much as your screenname.
Just a thought.
Meh, it depends. Three lines is usually considered a good maximum, and you could subscript it as well. The thing is, it depends on the size of the monitor you’re viewing it on. On my monitor, that quote is just over 2 lines.
But there are numerous people who don’t like sigs at all and would think that any length is too long. There’s currently a thread in IMHO discussing getting rid of the sig feature entirely.
So, it’s really up to you. Don’t worry about hurting my feelings by not using it or anything.
If you want a sig that compliments your user name, then here are a few quotes I suggest which are entirely appropriate and amusing:
[li]“braaaaaaaaiiiiiiins!” courtesy of Return of The Living Dead[/li]
[li]“I’ll swallow your soul!” courtesy of Army of Darkness[/li]
[li]“Thanks for the ride lady!” courtesy of Creepshow 2[/li]
and last, but not least, an immortal classic from George Romero’s Dawn of the Dead
[]“When there’s no more room in hell, the dead will inherit the earth.”* bwahahahahaha!
Obviously the last two posters don’t know what a Speaker for the Dead is. It’s nothing so ghastly, just something in between an investigator and a eulogist for the departed.
