A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 1)

It’s really a matter of spin. Their current income doesn’t meet outflows. All they are trying to convey is ‘we’d be OK if it weren’t for these pesky creditors!’ to their paying members so they won’t flee and make matters worse for the organization. That’s all.

The two definitions of insolvency that I’m familiar with under Canadian law are:

  1. Total liabilities exceed total assets;

  2. Unable to meet one’s regular and anticipated expenses as they come due.

By the second definition, if an entity can meet its operating expenses, but can’t pay the interest on its loans, it’s insolvent.

Newsweek had an article about them going bankrupt back in 2018, so I rate this statement as “TRUE”.

I’m not one to defend the NRA, but that sort of language is common in American bankruptcy proceedings, allowing the organization to try to keep its customers/members/etc.

This is the third time I write this, so bear with me if it sounds familiar:
first: Of course tanTrump is going to try to steal something (a LOT!) from the White House.
second: He will do it stoopidly, thus he will be caught.
third: He will blame it on Barron, hoping that he will not be prosecuted because he is a minor.
fourth: If he is prosecuted (Barron), he will not mind or care.
fifth: Imagine being the lesser of the Trumps. Sad! (for Barron)

NRA just want to prove how sycophantic they are to Trump by adopting his best business tactic.

Sure, and even better, re-incorporating in Texas may free them from prosecution for their violations of New York state laws:

If the NRA can escape justice in this way, laws need some re-writing.

American Thinker has also shut down its comments, explaining vaguely that it was a matter of the site’s survival. I’m not sure what that means.

“If we don’t grovel sufficiently, and if there is a single comment on our site dissing Dominion, they are going to sue us into oblivion and our lawyers say that we have no defense.”

Pity. The flood of enraged denunciations of the “spineless cuck RINOs” who wrote the Dominion retraction would have been truly epic.

I don’t/never know/have heard of them. Can I have a link to this or their site so I can post with many laughing emoticons on FB?

I look forward to the Dali Llama

Wait… are we doing this now? Posting only an image as our entire comment? (I have to be fair: it did have the added gravity of an emoji so there’s that.)

?

I’ve been doing it since The Switch.

I put that into Google translate for Weasel to English - “Lawyers tell us we will be sued into oblivion if we don’t print the retraction”

It is possible to do that now, on Discourse. But why would you? It’s more a bit of a Facebook kind of post isn’t it?

Do you suppose you could explain why it’s funny, for those of us who only recognise one out of six faces?

In the spirit of ‘if you did not get the joke, do not worry, it wasn’t aimed for you’, no.
