Congressman on Kidnapping Threat: ‘F*ck Around and Find Out’
Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) later said on MSNBC that the Russian politician can “get in line” and “we'll see what happens.”

Good news, everyone!
Excellent. Let the depositions and document dumps begin!
More spades need to be called out like this:
Shit like this really needs to be amplified. Really start homing in on the bigger players.
Bring it!
I wonder if Ingraham, Kilmeade, Hannity, etc. are going to try to claim executive privilege, or just refuse to turn up if subpoenaed? Will they deny sending Meadows texts begging him to get Trump to stop the insurrection?
What I wouldn’t give to see a video of Logan and Briscoe cuffing them on the air and dragging them off of the set…
Also, this quote from Gallego needs to be highlighted:
Gallego described an insidious process whereby instead of people storming the Capitol to overthrow an election, supporters of former President Donald Trump’s “Big Lie” were trying to win state House and Senate seats and election administration roles so they could “actually overturn the future election.”
“The coup is ongoing,” he said.
Good for him to call this out–it’s undeniable (even if not particularly schadenfreude-y).
In other Gallego news, every Trump-fan’s favorite nation has produced a threat of violence against Gallego for daring to say Russia shouldn’t invade Ukraine (again):
State Duma member Aleksei Zhuravlyov brazenly proposed on Russia state TV that the Arizona lawmaker should be snatched up, brought to Russia, and forced to explain “whom he wanted to kill.” This was in response to Gallego calling for increased military action to temper Russia’s escalation at the Ukraine border.
Gallego does not respond by cowering:
Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) later said on MSNBC that the Russian politician can “get in line” and “we'll see what happens.”
Rep. Ruben Gallego Responds to Russian Kidnapping Threat, Says ‘Fuck Around and Find Out’
I imagine that our beloved GOP will fall in line behind Aleksei Zhuravlyov, and support the kidnapping of American citizens.
I imagine that our beloved GOP will fall in line behind Aleksei Zhuravlyov, and support the kidnapping of American citizens.
Hell, didn’t Mike Flynn actually participate in a plot to do just that? (Though the man he wanted to kidnap may have been a legal resident rather than a citizen, come to think of it.)
But: yes. Of course it’s fine to commit violence against anyone standing in the way of your power-grab—it’s practically in the GOP platform!
Hell, didn’t Mike Flynn actually participate in a plot to do just that? (Though the man he wanted to kidnap may have been a legal resident rather than a citizen, come to think of it.)
Michael Flynn's lawyer strongly rejects reports that he was promised millions of dollars by Turkey.
Yeah, that’s the story.
(The fact that Mike Flynn is still getting his military pension and all benefits fills me with the opposite of schadenfreude.)

Former Federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner agrees with Gallego:
A Democratic lawmaker and a former federal prosecutor are keeping the heat on Ohio Republican Congressman Jim Jordan. Jordan came under fire this week after it was revealed that he forwarded a text message to former White House chief of staff Mark...
Glenn Kirschner, a former federal prosecutor, agreed with Gallego that Jordan is a “traitor.”
Kirschner also said he believes the text message to Meadows constitutes probable cause that Jordan committed a federal felony. He noted that when Jordan sent the text, Attorney General Bill Barr had already stated there was no widespread fraud in the presidential election, and Trump cybersecurity official Chris Krebs had called the 2020 vote “the most secure in American history.”
“What Jim Jordan by forwarding that text was obstruct an official proceeding, and that statute, which is a 20-year felony, says if you actually obstruct, or you attempt to obstruct, or you endeavor to impede an official congressional proceeding like the electoral vote count, you’ve committed the federal felony of obstructing an official proceeding,” Kirschner said. “That is what Jim Jordan did.”
And there is zero chance he will suffer any consequences for that text, or for anything else.
Unfortunately that is the lesson being learned; You can foment an insurrection, leave plenty of evidence and you’ll suffer no consequences whatsoever.
This will embolden them to try again.
What was happening in the White House on the day and evening of Devember 18 last year. A revolving cast of characters, plans to overthrow the election, and Individual 1 just sitting there watching, apparently.
In this daily series, Newsweek explores the steps that led to the January 6 Capitol Riot.
This oughta put a smile on some faces:
NEW YORK (AP) — Former President Donald Trump revealed he received a booster shot of the COVID-19 vaccine, drawing boos from a crowd in Dallas.
Trump made the disclosure Sunday night during the final stop of “The History Tour,” a live interview show he has been doing with former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly.
“Both the president and I are vaxxed,” O’Reilly said at the American Airlines Center, drawing some jeers from the audience, according to video shared online by O’Reilly’s “No Spin News.”
“Did you get the booster?” he asked the former president. “Yes,” Trump responded. “I got it, too,” O’Reilly said, eliciting more hectoring.
“Don’t! Don’t! Don’t! Don’t! Don’t!” Trump told the crowd, waving off their reaction with his hand.
Trump’s gotten boos before when he encouraged everyone to get vaxxed. Fast tracking vaccination development was one of the few good things the Trump Admin did, so he’s in favor of everyone getting vaxxed. But so are Dems, which means his base is against it just by reflex. It’s probably the only thing he and the MAGAts disagree on.
Well, Trump, you reap what you sow
