The conspiracy theory played on pricing discrepancies on the Wayfair site- some of the products had high prices as placeholders, others were expensive commercial grade cabinetry. The OMG pedophiles! crowd decided that Wayfair was using their site to traffic children….buy a cabinet, get a child. Then they matched the names of the products with the names of “missing” children, and pushed their names and pictures across the Internet, distressing the children and their friends and families.
