A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 1)

“I refuse to answer on the grounds that it may intimidate me.”

It’s Fifth Amendment all the way down.

incriminate :face_with_spiral_eyes:. But as it stands it’s not altogether inaccurate.

I prefer the original

In a criminal proceeding the judge would almost certainly smack you down hard, but (and IANAL here) in civil trials I believe one can make an adverse inference from someone pleading the Fifth, and you could probably get away with asking about his previous statements on the subject as long as you didn’t spend much time belaboring the point.

The very first thing that Trump should be asked under oath is about his memory. He loves to brag that he has a great memory. Then start asking him about taking the 5th and other things that he has ‘forgotten’. He is pretty much guaranteed to perjure himself.

Can you person, woman, man, camera, TV? I didn’t think so.

“Mr. Trump, are you able to show us how an idiot takes the 5th?”

Ooo, I like it.

‘Mr. Trump, a criminal says what?’

“Objection!”
“I’m gonna allow it.”

Trump loyalist who lost Georgia governor primary with just 3.4% of the vote is refusing to admit defeat (msn.com)

Go fuck yourself. You are blaming other Republicans and Trump loyalists for your ass-kicking.

While not needed in the Pit, when I see stuff like @Typo_Negative brought up, it makes me wonder. Do the ass-kicked ass-hats actually believe any of what they’re saying, or is it 100% playing to the crowds to further the grift / get talking head job / get appointed to think tank.

I’m positive that it’s large majority profit motivation amongst the political branch, but I wonder about some of them, like Lindell…

Sorry, back to well earned pittings.

I’m sorry to be critical, but this was a rather awkward metaphor, when it should obviously have been:

When Trump has your back, expect it to be stabbed.

It can’t be both? I mean, Perdue had CFSG’s endorsement while she was just a “loyalist” – what did she expect?

I’m wondering what a “national data team” is. I’m guessing Cyber Ninjas.

Nothing saying it can’t be both, but for a lot of the minions, it seemed 100% ride the bandwagon and grift (especially when they’ve taken 180 degree turns from prior positions just to do so).

But others seem to, much like their sponsor keep going long after the point it is likely counterproductive to earning (Lindell and Powell as examples). So are they now 80% invested in their new alternate reality and 20% grift? 70/30?

Not that I excuse any of them at this point, but the degree of my disgust does vary a bit based on motivations.

Maybe hope for the GOP?

Maybe not:

‘Soulless’: Trump Torched For Dance At NRA Event After Reading TX Shooting Victims’ Names (msn.com)

My initial reaction to the NRA not cancelling their convention was “they’re coming to dance on the graves of 19 fourth graders”. I didn’t think it’d be so literal…

You can see him how happy this all makes him.
