Does Lindsey know that he is not in the Executive branch?
People who drink heavily tend to emit an odor that is…unpleasant.
The layers are probably an attempt to keep in the stink.
Even then, he’d lose the case just trying to go to court to plead privilege against a Congressional subpoena. Here, where we’re looking at a criminal inquiry, I’m really not seeing much hope for him.
Last week, his attorneys argued that complying “would erode the constitutional balance of power and the ability of a Member of Congress to do their job.”
Yeah, right. Because he’s so damn busy doing Congressional work.
Hey, I have a tangential question, as long as we’re talking about Lindsay Graham: He’s a lot in the news lately, and I’ve read several articles on several different news sites, and occasionally I read some of the user comments.
Why is it so popular to refer to Graham in the feminine? Many many posters refer to “Ms. Graham”, and refer to him with “she” and “her” pronouns. One person referred to him as “Lindseybelle”. There are photoshopped memes of him in a dress or bikini. What is behind all this?
Homophobia. Jon Stewart himself is guilty of this.
ETA: Of course I don’t know if he’s gay or not, and I don’t care either. But that’s why the “She” stuff shows up.
He’s unmarried, people assume he’s gay and think it’s funny.
I think it’s stupid at best.
And misogyny. Because of course to imply that a man is a woman is to suggest that he’s a lesser person who can be safely denigrated and disrespected.
I despise Lindsey Graham, but the fact that he’s a loathsome lying piece of shit does not justify using homophobia and sexism to insult him. (Same for body-shaming Graham’s fellow loathsome lying piece of shit Mitch McConnell with “turtle” insults, or mocking Trump for being fat.)
Testifying to the commission is Congressional work!
But Graham isn’t ignoring a Congressional subpoena. The judge said he had to respond to the subpoena laid on him by the Georgia grand jury investigating CFSG’s interference in the Georgia election.
To be fair, much of the mockery directed at Graham is based on the surmise that he’s yet another hypocritically homophobic closet case, and most of the mockery directed at Trump is for transparently (even by his standards) lying and claiming to weigh 239 pounds.
True, hypocrisy-shaming is fair game.
Are we so woke now that we can’t make fun of turtles?
Is Executive Privilege the new gold fringe?
Or maybe grasping the horns of an altar?
Given the people involved, I think gazing at a snake is more apropos.
. Can we make fun of him for not having a soul and being an empty shell of a man?
