A federal judge halted Florida’s so-called “Stop Woke Act” , which restricts private companies from conducting diversity training, with some pretty scathing comments about the intent behind it. He called the state “a First Amendment Upside Down”, a la Stranger Things, and compared the court to Eleven saving the citizens from the menacing evil.
Guess that would make De Santis the Mind Flayer, which seems about right. He’d probably be flattered by the comparison though.
I wish judges wouldn’t use pop culture in their decisions, it seems to me to cheapen the process. Just explain how this law is in violation of the constitution (or whatever the issue is) and stop trying to impress your teenage kids with your hipness.
