A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 1)

Good lord, he looks like he has 1.5 feet in the grave. I can’t imagine that he’s the one still posting crap online and endorsing candidates. Who’s standing behind him and moving his mouth and jogging his arms nowadays?

Agreed. He even loosely inspired that billionaire-recluse character in the James Bond movie Diamonds Are Forever. Trump should be so lucky!

But he is the inspiration for Biff Tannen in Back to the Future Part II…

Indeed, my point being that all that Buddy Carter and the hardcore GOP whackos need to see is “McCarthy voted against us!1!1!” to set them off with indignation and ugh, betrayal. :slightly_smiling_face:

Oh please. The man won a golf tournament, even though he was two states away when he played the first round!

In case you haven’t heard of his legendary cheating at golf here’s a video from sportswriter Rick Reilly, who wrote a whole book on how Trump cheats at golf, Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump.

If you don’t want to spend 20 minutes on the video, here’s an article from Golf magazine.

This brings to mind a column by Dave Barry about Presidential foibles:

I loved it when Richard Nixon made speeches wherein he looked as though a large and disorganized committee of alien beings had taken over his body and were just learning how to operate it: (“OK. Let’s try to wave. Who’s operating the arms?” “Me!” “No, me!” “NO …” etc.).

Haw! Very nice!

Dan

The first hole is a looooooong Par 4.

Georgia is out of bounds to the right. Big water hazard to the left.

And he made it in 3!

“Sir,” said Tiger Woods with tears in his eyes. “How did you become such a golfer? I’ve never seen anything like it.”

I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for the Spruce Goose.

Let’s face it: Hughes could admit he made a mistake. If Orange Julius Caesar had made The Conqueror, he would loudly proclaim it The Greatest Movie Ever Made and that John Wayne, et.al., told him, with tears in their eyes, that they considered it worth contracting cancer to get the film made.

I used to love Dave Barry. He turned way too conservative for me after 9/11. Him and Dennis Miller both.

You can add Scott Adams to that list. The creator of the comic strip Dilbert. There was something about 9/11 that weirdly made certain comedians and humorists turn arch conservative it seems like. I wish I could explain it.

Or no let me retract that. Adams I think was pretty normal until he became a trumpist back in 2016. It wasn’t 911 connected. Still it’s a weird phenomenon.

Yet he believes that he is far cooler than all that.

Which reminds me of something…it’s really surprising to me that people believe Tan the Conman thought he would not win the presidency. Once he threw his hat in, of course he believed he would win. He cannot accept that he can lose nor that he is not liked universally.

p.s. Tan the Conman did not show suprise at winning. He was surprised that there really were people who voted against him.

Well, it’s because it’s true.

In that last article:

But let’s finally put to bed the idea that Trump was anything but stunned that he won. Anyone who claims otherwise is engaging in the sort of myth-making on which Trump has built his entire life.

You’re doing that now.
