The militia of the United States consists of

The Trump International Golf Club Scotland, which he once declared “the world’s best golf course”, appears to be in a financial death spiral after newly released documents show it lost nearly £700,000 ($860,000 U.S.) in 2021. That’s after it lost over £1.3 million ($1.5 million U.S.) in 2020.
SLC Turnberry Ltd., the group that manages the money-losing property, said the deficit is largely due to the resort closing down for part of the year because of the pandemic. But that doesn’t explain why it’s never once turned a profit in the 10 years it’s been open…
Considering everything else that’s going on in the one-term, twice-impeached ex-president’s personal life (countless investigations, lawsuits, counter lawsuits, weakened political prowess after last fall’s disappointing midterms, a wife who detests him, etc.), we can’t image his failing golf course in Scotland is a huge priority right now, but it’s embarrassing nonetheless. Especially for someone who purports to be a successful billionaire businessman.
Part of his conviction was for pepper spraying the officers trying to keep the insurrectionists out. It’s a shame the judge didn’t sentence him to a dose of pepper spray every morning of his sentence so he’d really have a reason to cry.
And this is why I’ve hated this fuck shmuck since 1992. Grew up South Jersey. Had ten friends going “down the shore” to make tons at restaurants in Taj Mahal, rent place with 20+ people, etc.
Third week of June, they’re commuting to the inland to their old jobs. WHY??? Why would anyone wonder? Orange Blow Job can’t manage the casino, screws his investors with a stump fund (probably) and only three of my friends had a job until July.
Not to mention the lawsuits by other businesses who had to shut down due to Trump contractors striking as they weren’t paid. No access to Boardwalk stores.
I’m still confused as to why his faulty business habits have never made the front page during elections. Not to mention Trump steaks, vodka, whatever as all being business fails.
I think the real selling point was when he said, “I love the undereducated!”
Because the headline-writers work for media owners who want a Republican in the White House.
If that Republican is an incompetent idiot, that’s fine; they can be quite confident they’ll still get their tax breaks.
There was a bit of a reminder today of who the headline workers actually have to please, with this admiring NYT take on Ron DeSantis’ attempts to make ‘letting a child read a book’ a felony and other adventures in the continuing project of killing off public education:
Wow, what a brave guy DeSantis is, “taking on” that ultra-powerful Education Establishment!!! How ardently New York Times readers should admire him!!!111!!!
Turnberry is the golf resort trump propped up when he was President by having the military stay there overnight after refueleing stops at Prestwick Airport, a struggling airport which trump needed to stay solvent so people would be able to get to Turnberry 53 miles away. Now that he’s no longer President he’s lost several opportunities to shore up his various failing properties through government money and emoluments.
Coming in for some fresh schadenfreude about former President Pussy Ass Bitch. My new favorite nickname for this very thin-skinned individual that asked Twitter to take down such a mean tweet.
I am kind of interested in how our boards conservatives feel that the GOP had a hearing regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop,… and the only newsworthy thing that came out of it was the fact that the Democrats were prepared enough to turn the hearing around to show how Twitter was genuinely biased in favor of conservatives, and Trump in particular?
