The resolution to expel the first-term Republican, elected in November, stated that she had brought “disrepute and embarrassment to the House of Representatives,” resulting in “disorderly behavior.” Forty-six Arizona representatives in the GOP-controlled House voted to remove her from her elected position, meeting a two-thirds threshold to expel lawmakers. Thirteen members opposed her expulsion.
IE You made us look stupid!
Or “here’s your scapegoat, you can all fuck off about the wasted money and time”
The thing about a scapegoat is, even them acknowledging the need for a scapegoat is an improvement. Let’s hope that this is the thin edge of the wedge of rationality working its way back into the minds of at least some Republicans.
“Not much of an improvement” is still better than just getting worse. Small consolation, I know, but alas, it’s the best we can realistically hope for at this point.
Yes they were. That’s what makes this even more twisted.
Trump doesn’t know anything about Iwo Jima, because it doesn’t involve him.
Trump retweeted this a while back, ignorant of its context, but it sure resonated with him.
Googling only reveals it in a tweet in response to Trump’s fiddling tweet, That original response was by @jikirick. My guess it was a photo of a real bust, then photoshopped (or equivalent) to change the face and add the necktie.
