A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 1)

He could make bank going the “right wing martyr taken down by the left” route.

Looks like the wall is not getting built after all…

The ongoing battle of Disney vs. Evil Prince DeSantis continues to be interesting and amusing:

Who will play the villain? They can do alot with makeup and fatsuits. Could be a career defining role. Gary Oldman, Pacino? ?

So, anyone taking bets on how long before Disney actually makes a movie featuring DeSantis as the grossest pervert of all time?

Keira Knightley? She’s got range, who knows.

It’s a Tim Burton film called Pudding Pinky.

Disney animators can have a wry sense of humor. I can easily imagine a thinly veiled DeSantis showing up at least as a minor character in the next Disney animated feature film.

And even if they don’t there will be enough people who “see” DeSantis here or there, as there were people who “saw” the word sex in smoke, a penis in a cloud, end so on.

Which is perfect, because now all Disney has to do is…nothing. People will start rumors and see things and Disney gets all the benefits with none of the risks.

I’ve been surprised for months that Disney hadn’t filed this lawsuit. It’s a almost textbook example of governmental retaliation for exercising free speech. We are extremely fortunate that Desantis, like Trump, is either too stupid or too arrogant (my money is on both) to hide his agenda. Thank God for their incompetence.

I’m guessing they were giving him enough rope.

Nah, she’s too tall.

And too thin.

That’s a feature, not a bug. They need everyone to see what they’re doing.

The problem is that hiding the agenda defeats the purpose. The point is to signal to the deplorables his agenda.

I mean, he is the governor of a state shaped like a penis.

I think that they were waiting for the other shoe to drop. They did the thing with stripping the special district of its powers so DeSantis’s minions couldn’t mess with them. Then when they tried to (and maybe succeeded, I’m not sure how it worked out) reverse that, Disney immediately filed suit.

I think that simply reorganizing the special district was removed enough that it could have cover, but their latest actions have removed that cover. I’m having a hard time following it, but I’m sure Disney’s lawyers aren’t.

It’s actually a bit annoying that I’m rooting for Disney, but I figure that’s how much of the future is going to be, all the way up until Musk releases the Tesla murderbots and we have to rely on the Small World animatronic league to defend us.

Agree. DeSantis has openly and clearly bragged about retaliating specifically against Disney, and no other entity, in order to punish Disney for its acceptance of gay people. He’s been very clear about what he’s doing to punish a company for their exercise of free speech.

I always thought Florida resembled a dog turd in the middle of being shat out.

But what do you think of its shape?

It’s kinda droopy.
