A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 2)

I’m pretty sure the idiot list comprises lots of other types of people, in fact I would be surprised if “low income blue-collar workers” was even a quarter of the total number of people, let alone a quarter of the amount of money raised. There are a (perhaps) surprisingly large number of people with more money than sense. They are the ones likely to be thinking “I’ve got mine, and Trump is going to help me keep it.”

I wonder if George Santos is his mentor.

No, but given George’s impending confinement, he can be George’s mentor soon.

Even narcissistic megalomaniac with a messiah complex Donald Trump has got to be scared to death over all of these charges. He’s delusional but just the same, so many times when I see him in court he does not look confident like he does in his public events. I think he might actually be terrified and hiding it.

No sympathy for that asshole though, he really fucking deserves it.

Well, unlike, say, Mike Lindell, I doubt he believes that God is going to come down and save him. Or if he does believe in God, in his more sane moments, he should be DAMN worried.

The one positive attribute I think Trump has is he’s an atheist.

As he’s faced an array of criminal charges, Trump’s demands for aides and lawyers to martyr themselves for him hasn’t saved him. If anything, it’s done the opposite, driving several possible key witnesses to consider throwing Trump under the bus before he gets the chance to do it to them. …

“If I went to jail for Donald Trump, if I did that, what would that do for me and my family?” says a former Trump administration official who has been interviewed by special counsel Jack Smith’s office. “I don’t think he would even give us lifetime Mar-a-Lago memberships if I did that for him.”

He doesn’t always hide it when speaking to the public. Remember a few months back when Trump released that video begging Congress to end the cases against him? Those are the actions of a man who can read the writing on the wall and was scared of the prospect of facing consequences for his actions. He can push those thoughts out of his mind when talking to a crowd, but sometimes they creep in there and you can see the fear.

I understand that when Sam Bankman-Fried testified in his own defense in his criminal trial, he didn’t do well and probably damaged his case even further. I don’t know much about him as a person, but I suspect he’s reasonably bright, but he couldn’t handle it when faced with his public statements compared to his actual behavior.

I bring this up here because when the trump boys are up there on the stand testifying about the civil fraud charges against them and daddy trump, I can only imagine they will do orders of magnitude worse than Sam B-F. Being able to witness these snarling little foxes fumbling and growling and making everything much worse would be an almost overwhelming schadenfreude.

Has anyone seen those stickers in the back window of a car that are supposed to look like trump is riding in the back seat? I’ve seen two of them now. How big of loonie, weird, fan do you have to be to put a sticker of a guy’s head in the back window so it looks like you’re driving him around? His fandom just boggles my mind.

Have you seen the footage from their deposition? They were horrible. I can’t imagine them doing much more than answering “On advice of counsel, I plead the 5th.”

Perhaps Trump’s face is on the other side of the sticker, so the driver can look in his rear-view mirror, imagine he’s driving Trump to separate some migrants from their children, and (checking that this is the Pit) get a tiny little erection.

I’m glad someone somewhere has finally realized this. Only Trump gets to go to the nice jail.

If (when?) Trump gets sent down, every police car and prisoner transport vehicle could have those, in tribute.

This really tickles me. Not that testifying against a criminal who tried to destroy our government is a cool thing to do, but “what’s in it for me? The guys got nothing left to offer in exchange for betrauing my country, so I’m out.”

trump doesn’t believe in anything, except his own entitlement. That’s not the same as being an atheist.

He has no problem using religion as a prop when it suits him; standing in front of a church brandishing a bible, for instance.

How should I say this? Some people are atheists because they are rational thinkers. Other people are atheists because they lack the mental capacity to believe in things. Guess which kind Trump is.

The kind unable to conceive of someone greater than himself, in his worldview.

Well, I guess we could get lost in semantics here, but to me, not believing in God just because one has no use for God and religion does not make one an atheist; just as standing in front of a place of religion holding a bible does not make one a Godly person.

To me, being a true atheist requires rational thinking and a certain set of beliefs and principles. ‘Not believing in God’ and ‘believing in nothing’ are not the same thing.

I disagree - atheism isn’t a belief system. It’s purely descriptive. Don’t believe in a deity? Then you’re an atheist.
