If you don’t want your kids to stand trial, maybe you shouldn’t hire them to “work” in your sleazy organization. Maybe if they got real jobs they wouldn’t be in this predicament.
I had to laugh at Junior’s press conference where he’s whining about being found guilty because their accountants couldn’t do (air quotes) accounting. Hey doofus, they can only work with what you give them. Fraudulent numbers in means fraudulent numbers out.
trump quotes in the article (originally from Truth Social):
“So sad to see my sons being PERSECUTED in a political Witch Hunt by this out of control, publicity seeking, New York State Judge, on a case that should have NEVER been brought,”
It is absolutely amazing and frightening how many Witch Hunts are being pursued by ‘out of control, publicity seeking’ judges and politicians against trump and his family. The Deep State must really run deep. Thank God we have trump standing against them. Remember, they’re not really after trump, they’re after us-- trump is just in their way.
“Legal Scholars Scream Disgrace!”
Sarcasm aside, trump is surely correct about this. Just not for the reasons he means.
At the time, I pointed out that my Aunt had recently passed this test, which meant she could stay in her long term care room with 24 hour nursing support, and not be moved into the locked dementia ward. Not exactly a high bar for a president.
Because of course, there’s only one prosecutor in the whole country. Not like there are thousands more who could spend some time prosecuting all the other Trumpers, were they so inclined…
Like Tiffany. I really wonder about the family dynamics there. Would Tiffany have joined the firm and been in it as deep as Ivanka if they’d let her? Or did they offer her a place, and she was too smart to take them up on it?
As outsiders, we’ll probably never know for sure, and I’m sure that if asked, Tiffany would give whatever answer serves her purposes.
Since the Orange one is involved, I suspect it was largely out of her hands, either way.
Primarily, I imagine, because she’s a “she” and also because he does not find her sexually appealing, at least to the extent he finds her sister. Unsurprisingly, he seems to have somewhat outdated notions as to the place and purpose of women, so it would not shock me that his advice would be to marry well, like her sister.
No doubt ghost written, at that.
The niece has already done so but anything but blatant hagiography is going to be either ignored or excoriated by the hordes of unwashed who worship at his feet
I expect that how Tiffany turned out can be, for better or worse, laid to the credit of her mother, Marla, who made sure that Donald wouldn’t be the primary influence on her formative years. While we can certainly question her judgment in choice of mate, I thnk she did the right thing with Tiffany, who seems to be no worse than your typical overprivileged upper-class socialite.
So the suggestion is that they published his book, the book of a known serial liar, without bothering to read it to see if it contained lying stuff they didn’t want their name associated with?
Good luck succeeding with that in court. Meadows deserves to lose everything he ever had or will have. But that publisher deserves nothing but ridicule, not a juicy settlement.
Hey, I get tons of schadenfreude out of that article. Meadows and the publisher, which I quote “The suit reveals a long and tense relationship between Meadows and his publisher, which has published a suite of books from conservative figures.”
Good, let them both waste a ton of money paying lawyers. Couldn’t happen to a nice bunch of folks. May both sides end up financially, as well as morally bankrupt.
Not that I want to perpetuate sexist stereotypes, but in the wild it’s very romantic. The boy dung beetle displays his finest giant ball of poop, and if the girl falls in love (I like to think she falls in love with both beetle and ball) she hops on board and they roll off together into the sunset.
