So in response to that, Trump today posted about two dozen old tweets from Carroll on Truth Social. All about sex. I’m not sure how he thinks this will help. Who am I kidding? He doesn’t give a shit. Fire up a grifting email about her and get it out pronto! More damages ahead.
He will just get his MAGAts to pay it.
Don’t forget the pigheaded opposition to any regulation of gun ownership, however modest and sensible. Restrictions on chimpanzees with 3 violent felonies flying A-10 Warthogs and strafing downtown Los Angeles? The NRA is opposed, it’s a slippery slope to revoking the 2A! Or does that fall under shilling for the manufacturers?
Between the Carroll case, the impending dissolution of the Trump organization, and all his other mounting legal fees, I’m not so sure he can grift enough to keep up with all the damages coming his way. And I think he realizes it. This is a man looking down the tunnel watching the light that was once so far away come ever closer. He’s terrified.

I agree with this. I think he realizes that he is finally at an “all or nothing” juncture, that he either emerges unscathed or he’s done for. There’s no Deutsche bank bailout, no Putin intervention, no couple of sketchy years till he figures out the next grift, not if he ends up on the wrong side of a verdict.
I think he’s terrified. And he should be.
The problem is that he is spreading his fear to his blindly following minions, who only care about Trump’s truth and not facts.

I made up ‘I’m going to live forever, or die trying!’ on my own, back in the '80s. The other ones I made up at the same time: ‘You can’t take it with you? Bollocks to that! I’m not going!’ and ‘Don’t take life too seriously. You’ll never get out of it alive.’

The manufactured fear and outrage has always been the pitch to the MAGA base. It was always at 11, I’m not sure it’s possible to dial that up any higher just because Trump is now experiencing real fear.
Although I guess a significant difference now is that he’s trying to use the fact that he’s being prosecuted for crimes as justification for much more serious revenge on his enemies if he gets reelected.
