A cat?
Schadenfreude, enabler edition:
In short, 97% of the petition signatures DP received in St Joseph County (IN) were completely fake.
Whatever it is, it’s trying desperately to get away from the shit-show.
That is fucked up.
Republican Representative Nancy Mace, an outspoken sexual assault survivor, has endorsed rapist Donald Trump for president, yet another example of her constant stunning hypocrisy.
And also:
Mace had blasted Trump in the wake of the January 6 insurrection, saying his actions that day “wiped out” everything Republicans had accomplished during his term.
Fast forward 2 years: “Nobody could have expected that the man who wiped out everything Republicans had accomplished due to his stupidity and ego would continue to wipe out everything Republicans had accomplished. We just didn’t expect he would continue to do what he’s always been doing.”
“Susan Collins was reported to be ‘concerned’.”
She might even rub her chin a little.
The potential furrowing!
Trump wants to dump RNC Chairman Ronna Romney McDaniel.
Federal Appeals Court says no immunity for tRump!
The Supreme Court is going to squash tRump like a bug.
That would be delicious. They need four votes to take the case. I can imagine 6 of the Justices just wanting to stay out of this mess. And quickly I hope. The DC Circuit opinion was detailed and well reasoned. It should be the last word.
I wonder if he’s having a MAGAtantrum right now?
I’ll bet that ketchup is hitting the walls at MAG-A-Lardo!
Yeah, I bet SCOTUS just lets the DC Circuit’s ruling stand. We shall see: https://www.cnn.com/2024/02/06/politics/trump-immunity-court-of-appeals/index.html
James O’Keefe of Project: Veritas “fame” has had to settle his election fraud suit and admit that there was no fraud in Erie PA.
I felt happy when I heard that, and then felt sad. When did we start celebrating a ruling that just says, “No one is above the law”?
We should always celebrate those rulings, but I get what you mean.
This, exactly.
The truest and deepest damage Trump has done to our country is to get many citizens to question what used to be bedrock foundational principles, things we took for granted would always be respected and relied upon. They no longer are.
We should not have to celebrate this. The ruling should have been a foregone conclusion. Anyone questioning it deserves only scorn and mockery. Instead, the questioning is discussed as if has a shred of legitimacy. It doesn’t.
I particularly enjoyed this bit at the end of the article:
Hannah Giles, who worked with O’Keefe and was its chief executive, announced in December that she was leaving Project Veritas, writing on X that she had “stepped into an unsalvageable mess — one wrought with strong evidence of past illegality and post financial improprieties.”
“Who could have imagined that professional liars lie all the time?!?”
