they are rather cute…

Tabasco comes in 59 ml bottles, not 57. 59 ml is the equivalent of 2 fluid ounces.

Since 57 ml is 1.93 fluid ounces, I’m going to hazard a guess that Heinz did indeed settle on 57 ml for the link to “57 varieties”.

I did check before posting.

Weird, so did I:

Totally off-topic but I love that sauce, it’s very hard to get here in Buenos Aires, there used to be some supermarkets that carried it but I see it less and less.

Don’t you see man? Heinz got to them! Deep Sauce strikes again!

It looks like those bottles are for different markets. The 59 is also marked 2 oz., the 57 has only the metric volume. There’s also different markings on the bottles.

You joke, but I’m sure with enough 30 seconds of Googling I can find a conspiracy about ‘57’.
Should Jehovers Witnesses use Heinz 57 products?
which links back to . . . a dead link HERE!!!

I’ve seen them on trays from Room Service left outside hotel doors. They’re a lot more elegant than having to tear open a lot of foil packets of ketchup, but they’re kinda small for anything but the smallest portions.

You are correct-they are very small. But I feel so de classe asking for 3 or 4 of them when I do room service at a swanky hotel.

Could be worse. It could be Sir Kensington’s ketchup, which is vile beyond imagination.

What is that logo in the top-left corner? Is that for a non-US market?

Good questions!

According to the Amazon page where that image is, the seller is in the UK.

That probably settles that.

Also explains why there is no “oz” measurement.

But either way, it does confirm that the statement, “Tabasco comes in 59 ml bottles, not 57,” is incorrect.

Yeah, mea culpa. But I was still wondering why Tabasco would come in 57 ml in the UK, but 59 ml in the USA. I did not know that a UK Imperial fluid ounce is actually slightly smaller than a USA fluid ounce, so 57 ml is in fact 2 imperial fluid ounces. So I still think that’s just math, not specifically trying for 57 ml the way Heinz probably is.

Maybe with those “Hand Lotion” bottles next to the shampoo some guests find a use for them.

It is a Queen’s Royal Warrant.

The perfect size for tiny hands to smother a burnt crispy welldone steak. I’m sure it’s two-bottles Donnie for him.

Is it a King’s Royal Warrant now, or does Chuck not like hot sauce?
