Sure, but Mar-a-Lago is a private club. Trump gets around living there by some provision allowing an employee to live at the club. i.e. He’s an employee of the club. It’s not a homestead. It’s not even zoned to be a residential property it’s zoned for commercial.
But it is surely not worth 83 million, with all the toilets out of order clogged up with confidential documents and the security cameras not working when they should.
Well then that shit’s up for grabs.
I hope E. Jean Carrol gets it as PART of the property settlement bulldozes it and makes it a dog park.
Bulldoze it? Nah, just let the dogs run free.
I doubt it could be bulldozed. It does have some historical significance. It wasn’t built by Trump, it was built by some heiress 100 years ago.
Heck, the value would probably go UP once it’s out of Trump’s tiny grubby hands.
You’ll never get the stink out. It has to be burned Stephen King final chapter style.
Then washed with a hurricane, then dog park sounds nice.
And never bury anything (else) there.
Don’t forget plowing it under with salt.
If Mar-a-Lago is seized, sold, and the proceeds go to Ms. Carroll, that would be fine. She shouldn’t have to accept the property. She was awarded 80-some million dollars; she should get it in cash.
I agree.
But it should be thoroughly de-Trumpified. It will still be tainted, but it’s not the building’s fault.
57 grams of Heinz ketchup contains 635mg of sodium, so 1000 (tiny) hand-sized bottles adds up to about 1.4 pounds of salt. I imagine he’ll have made a good start on it by the time he’s dragged, clawing and blubbering, out the gates.
She was pretty awesome, she wasn’t just some “heiress”, she inherited a cereal company from her dad and turned it into General Foods, a juggernaut business. She also pretty much created the frozen food industry after recognizing the significance of what Clarence Birdseye had invented, and bought his company (Birds Eye Frozen Foods), turning it into a huge success. She was a badass. She was the wealthiest woman in the US for most of her life, and unlike Trump she didn’t just inherit a bunch of money to flush down a golden toilet.
Sorry about the hijack but I’m a fan of Marjorie Post.
Exactly right. She’s legally entitled to cash. If that requires partial liquidation of Trump properties, that’s his problem, not hers.
Ninjaed!
Came here to make the same points. Marjorie Merriweather Post was most certainly NOT just some heiress. She was a hugely successful businessperson and philanthropist, married for a time to financier E.F. Hutton and mother of actress Dina Merrill.
Now this here has got to sting:
Talk about a PsyOp…
Build the D.J. Trump Presidential Library.
No worries. I just wrote “some heiress” because I couldn’t remember the name (although I thought maybe it was Post) and was too busy to look it up.
