OK, so the analogy isn’t quite perfect. It doesn’t kill the host (Repub Party), it makes it more toxic than ever, and dangerous to others. Maybe replace gangrene with the ‘Walking Dead’ virus or the Cordyceps fungus from 'The Last of Us".
