A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 2)

Yes indeed this was what I was talking about (I was wondering what that comment was talking about)

I’ve recently seen far too many comments online from whataboutist pubbies who say “both parties” tarring the Democrats as just another version of republicans. Glad to see that’s not what you meant.

That “I take no responsibility” line has to be pounded on at every opportunity. “Taking responsibility” is the whole point of the job of being President, and Trump utterly fails at that, time and time again.

If you are talking about the “I Really Don’t Care” jacket, that was all Melania.

One of her friends or colleagues ( I can’t remember if it was Stephanie Grisham or Stephanie Winston Wolkoff ) wrote about the jacket incident in the book, which really raised some eyebrows in her circle.

Because apparently Melania NEVER gets dressed without having a professional sketch of the outfit and exactly how it should be accessorized and she has a team of people in charge of this. Not a single one of those people knows how that jacket made it into her wardrobe.

Apparently she ordered it herself, online, from a fast fashion place. Something that she had never done before and it was extremely out of character for her. The first time her fashion “team” saw it was when she wore it onto that airplane.

And about Herve Bailliard, the designer being paid 18K a month now……she was stiffing him in big time Trump fashion right after the inauguration, refusing to pay him for all the clothes he’d designed and made, pretending she thought they were free. I wonder how much of his payment is back pay….or hush money.

I’ve said it before, and I’m far from the only one, but it bears repeating: I’m firmly convinced that Melania’s entire stint as First Lady-- her speech right after the 2016 election in which she cribbed extensively from a Michelle Obama speech; her choice of anti cyber-bullying as a First Lady project; possibly the ‘Nightmare before Christmas’ decorations; and the ‘I Really Don’t Care, do U?’ jacket-- was one long, not-so-subtle trolling campaign against her husband.

I posted about it on a different thread, but what if they seized all of his shares in his social media company? I wonder if that would send TWUTH stock into a death spiral?

No, not even that. There was the pink dress with the big puffy sleeves that made her look like a linebacker and the outfit that looked like she was ready to serve her stint in the army or something like that. There was also a hat that was the size of an umbrella.

I can’t recall all the outfits that made me cringe. It feels to me like it was fairly frequent considering how seldom I actually saw her. But of course, fashion choices are subjective. My opinion is probably a minority one.

I disagree, I think it was a long trolling campaign against the American people, performed in concert with her husband.

I’ve read enough of the books about her to recognize that they are two of a kind, she’s as horrible as he is.

“Be Best” was an obvious troll on Michelle Obama’s “Be Better”. And her anti-cyberbullying project consisted of doing absolutely nothing while her husband made cyber-bullying into an art form.

You may very well be right, and it sounds like you’ve read up more on her than I have.

But although I can very easily believe they are “two of a kind, she’s as horrible as he is” I have a hard time believing they were working in concert. I always got the distinct impression that she absolutely loathes him.

Maybe she was acting out her dislike of being in the public eye as first lady by trolling the American people, and also trolling trump? But again, just my impression. Maybe they are actually soulmates and deeply in love; I wouldn’t be surprised at anything about that family dynamic.

I assume you are talking about this one ansd this one, or worse this one

To be fair though, being a high fashion model requires making bold choices, and she probably never wears an outfit more than once in public, so statistically there are going to be some spectacular failures, and those are probably the ones that stick in your mind.

It was nothing more than gaslighting as far as I could tell.

She did put out a pamphlet but of course it was largely plagiarized from the Obama administration.

So, she has no fashion sense of her own at all. She’s literally a mannequin.

Joe trolling Trump with a story told at a recent dinner

“Just the other day a defeated-looking man came up to me and said, ‘Mr. President, I have crushing debt, and I’m completely wiped out,’” Biden said. “And I had to look at him and say, ‘Donald, I’m sorry. I can’t help you.’”

Apparently no video but the remarks were in a White House transcript.

From a HuffPo article, I haven’t verified anything.

Looks like the designers don’t have any either.

I heard on NPR that they had said it was six months. Let me see if I can find a cite.

Okay, here is one:

As part of Trump’s agreement with the company, he must wait around 6 months before selling any shares. (Trump claimed on Truth Social this morning that he now has nearly $500 million in cash.)

I have never bought cryptocurrency and never plan to, but I am a fan of Coffeezilla (an online investigative reporter and YouTuber covering scams, particularly for crypto but also MLM and some other scams). From his videos I’ve learned a lot about how a new crypto coin or NFT or whatever will be hyped by celebrities and other influencers, then go public and sell for a large amount before the people running the whole thing sell all of their coin and tank the price, which is often called a “rugpull” (imagine someone pulling out the rug from people standing on it and making them fall on their ass out of nowhere). This seems to be insurance against Trump doing a rugpull of his own.

Also heard NPR talking about Biden’s campaign trips, and their speculation is that he’s trying things out to see how well they land, so his people are not allowing it to be recorded. But the media is of course allowed to report on anything they hear. So you’re unlikely to see or hear footage for a bit on these events until a bit later, for now you’re just going to read what reporters are choosing to publish.

Yes, except that this front on view is what made me think of the broad shoulders.

She’s a gold digger. Nothing more. But much more intelligent that Trump. She’s trying to hold on to what money she has. Once this is over, publishers will be knocking at her door for a book deal. Millions will be headed her way. She’s smart enough to keep her mouth shut for now and will get deals.

Her and Donalds problems are going to be being able to find any decent crowd of rich people that accept them. Sure MAGA’S will have you over for a BBQ and a beer, but little money is left with that crowd.

I have zero empathy for either of them trying to con their way to the top.
