A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 2)

The most trumpy thing about that story was this quote from the article:

The loan was never issued.

The whole crime was based on a promise from trump to loan Kodak the money, which of course he never did.

Trump’s Wheaties (tweeties?) get pissed on in Grand Rapids and Green Bay.

Yet strangely, it doesn’t seem to matter if it’s a one term or two term Presidency…

What Party is better at Managing the American Economy?

You did a very cogent analysis there, but my assessment of this issue is really simple. You just have to ask yourself which party manages the American economy better:

  • Is it the party whose objective is to responsibly manage the American economy?

  • Or is it the party whose sole objective – along with all its sycophantic wealthy supporters – is purely self-enrichment?

7 years for Taylor James Johnatakis (megaphone guy).

A sovereign citizen as well. The Schadenfreude is delicious.

WTF is a sovereign citizen getting involved in stunt like this? After all, they say they’re not subject to American law and aren’t American citizens.

And, yeah, I’m doing a little happy dance knowing another damn traitor got at least a portion of justice meted out to them for what they did to the United States on January 6, 2021.

And the judge’s comment (bolded for your reading pleasure) was pure gold:

Johnatakis, who represented himself with an attorney on standby, has repeatedly expressed rhetoric that appears to be inspired by the anti-government “ sovereign citizen ” movement. He asked the judge questions at his sentencing, including, “Does the record reflect that I repent in my sins?”

Lamberth, who referred to some of Johnatakis’ words as “gobbledygook,” said, “I’m not answering questions here.”

I read an analysis, maybe a year ago, maybe Paul Krugman’s, that came to that conclusion. The economy does better under Dem control because there’s one tool the ‘pubs want use: tax hikes on the wealthy. Sometimes there’s a need for that tool.

I would say the one tool the 'pubs want to use is tax cuts on the wealthy.

I’m guessing he meant to write “one tool the 'pubs won’t use…”

Yes, that’s what I meant to write.

Woo-hoo!

Has anyone else noticed that sentences seem to be going up, not down? Initially I thought they were shockingly low (1-2 years) and now we’ve got 7. Nice.

So much for that idea.

The very best part of all those “sovtard” videos is when they’re getting arrested while shouting “You have no jurisdiction!” I don’t know if a judge has ever said, while trying one of these loons, “Bailiff, please show the defendant we have jurisdiction over him” and then the bailiff cuffs the loon and drags him off to jail. That would be great to see!

I’m still waiting for one of those idiots to pull that “I’m not an American citizen, I’m an American national” on a cop in American Samoa. That would be the best “sovtard” arrest and trial video ever!

I did see a Tiktok short today where something like that happened. The judge asked as woman, the defendant, to confirm her name and she replied with a bunch of nonsense word salad. I guess judges are aware of these kooks because he picked up on what was going on immediately. So he turned to the defendant’s lawyer and asked him to confirm that the defendant was the the person who was supposed to be here. I’ll note that the judge specifically didn’t ask the lawyer to confirm his clients name, just to confirm that this was the person who was supposed to be there. The lawyer was obviously not a SovCit type and answered the question promptly.

I don’t know what kind of case it was, but the defendant wasn’t in custody, but the judge told her she was going to be taken into custody until they could determine her identity. I didn’t see the end, so I’m not sure if she changed her tune or not.

More like how close reality is to The Onion.

I tried to find a post I made a while back referrring to those jackasses who attacked our capitol as vigilantes. The judge who sentenced this latest magadafect evidently agrees with me:

The judge warned of a “vicious cycle … that could imperil our institutions” if Americans, upset with future election results, resort to the “vigilantism, lawlessness and anarchy” that occurred on January 6, 2021.

Now I’m curious as to whether he felt it should reflect that or it shouldn’t.

Part of that will be that the more simple and lower-level offense cases will have gone first and taken less time to wrap up, so unless the individual wasn’t arrested until recently, if they’re still in the queue they’re likely locked up for something more than a bit of trespassing and shitting on the floor.
