A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 2)

Thank you. Disappointing but makes sense.

If it’s any consolation, it’s the sort of thing that doesn’t endear a defendant to their jury. It can influence their decisions even if they don’t realize it. Non-verbal or other subtle cues that influence jurors’ decisions are fascinating. And real.

That I can believe, for sure.

It’s a good thing Azzarello didn’t set himself on fire inside the courtroom, what with the elevated level of methane. And you just know his name, thanks to this current breaking wind news will be the butt of jokes forever.

Ted Nugent? Oh nevermind, you probably can’t say.

I can say it wasn’t Ted Nugent.

What delightful posts, particularly these. Thanks to all!

Just taking a moment here to applaud this concise, perfect description of the entirety that is Donald J. Trump. This should be the sub-headline when he finally dies.

Well, thank you. You made my day.

I think someone linked this at some point, but former The Apprentice staffer Noel Casler said that Trump would regularly soil himself on the show (often when raging at the script – apparently he’s dyslexic). I can’t find the article I read before, but there was a staffer who was in charge of cleaning him up before shooting resumed.

I remember reading about that somewhere in my travels.

We sure know how to pick our heroes in this country, don’t we?

And now he’s way older and his incontinence has to have worsened.

Yep. A lot of it is undoubtedly due to his horrible diet. This literal shittiness needs to be publicized more widely – it has nothing to do with his character or capacity for leadership, but we already know those are zero, and it may be a way to get through to some of the MAGAts who thrive on nothing but superficiality.

Maybe. To be fair—and it’s not like I’m refusing to read this thread or anything, so, hypocrite much?—but to be scru-OOpulously fair, any incontinence issues (whether gaseous, liquid or solid) that Donald Trump may have because of aging and health problems are one of the few things I think he shouldn’t be mocked and shamed for. After all, bodies are bodies, and all of them have problems of some kind.

To the extent that Trump’s perceived hygiene deficiencies are directly and demonstrably due to his own arrogance, selfishness and lack of consideration for others, of course, they’re fair game.

I saw a photo on the internet, Reddit maybe, of a famous actor who had peed his pants. I was genuinely surprised by the number of people who came to the actor’s defense. Not because it wasn’t the right thing to do but because it’s the internet so I didn’t expect to see such nice gestures. A lot of people were arguing the actor didn’t hurt anyone, sometimes things happen as you age, and the general consensus was that posting the photo was pretty uncool.

With Trump it’s a different story. He’s built part of his campaign on mocking “Sleepy” Joe Biden as being unfit due to age related infirmity. Trump is a narcissist who is obsessed with projecting an aura of strength and attempts to bully and undermine even his own allies to make himself look better. In reality he’s a weak old man who can’t control his behavior and shits his own pants which is something everyone should know. It reveals him as being weak which gets under his skin. Hopefully it gets under the skin of some of his supporters too.

I’m reminded of a meme from back when memes were shared by photocopies, and the word ‘meme’ was unheard of.

‘Doing a good job at this place is like wetting yourself in dark pants. You get a warm feeling, but nobody notices.’

On a parallel track, I don’t make fun of Trump for being fat. I’m carrying an extra ten kilos myself.

I mock him for being such a screaming hypocritical pissbaby about it.

Same here.

I agree. With Trump, we MUST take a realpolitik approach with everything. When the whole “Trump stinks, and bad” thing started circulating (ew!), when Kinzinger tweeted about it, it struck me that this, of all things, could be what eroded his MAGA support. Not putting children in cages, not the Muslim travel ban, not inciting an insurrection. Shitting his pants.

The invincible strongman appeal takes a big, stinky hit. Normally, mocking someone for this would be mean, petty, even unethical. Not with Trump. There’s too much at stake. If the “hey, has your fearless leader shit his pants?” mockery loses him a percentage or two in key places, so be it.

Seriously, fuck this guy. We cannot let a “we go high” approach guide our efforts with the most vile human who has ever held the presidency. I’m not saying anything at all goes. But mocking him for this? Oh yeah. If that makes me a petty asshole, I can live with that.

I would tend to agree with this.

We’re in the midst of jury selection for Trump’s hush money trial. To detect bias among potential jurors, the prosecution and defense have been going through each one’s social media posts. I have to wonder how a post like this would be seen in that context. “I can be fair, I said we shouldn’t make fun of Trump for shitting his pants.” Is that pro-Trump, or anti-Trump?

I believe you mean this link:

It is schadenfreudy reading, that is why I bookmarked it. I have a collection of nasty links in a special folder, that one stands out.

Yes, that is the point too.

I go back and forth about this because there certainly are people who have strong BO due to one medical thing or another, and gawd knows weight and body shaming are issues society needs to handle better. It’s just wrong to mock these things.

On the other hand, Trump LIVES for mocking and belittling others, and doing the old point n’ laugh back at him seems only fair. Not that he’ll ever see it as anything but an unwarranted attack and because he’s feared … narcissistic creep that he is.

It’s just – good people have these real problems, and I don’t like the idea that making fun of them is seen as in any way ok just because Trump is fair game.

Ambivalence should be my middle name.
