A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 2)

Heheheh. In which he was invariably referred to as a “short-fingered vulgarian.”

I guess this is the best thread for it. The Gateway Pundit, a leader of conspiracy theories and one of the primary purveyors of the 2020 election fraud story, has declared bankrupcy.

https://www.mediaite.com/news/the-gateway-pundit-infamous-conspiracy-blog-declares-bankruptcy-after-suit-from-election-workers/

Of course, according to the Pundit, it’s a liberal plot:

Hope they get taken for every cent.

Alas for them, bankruptcy likely does not relieve them of the election workers judgment:

Two additional types of debt are generally considered non-dischargeable and not removed by bankruptcy. These two kinds of debts are those relating to:

Willful or malicious injury

I’m okay with them losing everything, and still owing money for their harassment.

Would family members of the defendant get some sort of reserved seating in the courtroom, or would they have to get there early and wait in line with all the press who also want to be there?

Another possibility, specifically regarding the 6th Jan case, would be - not to muddy up the trial of individual 1. Dragging congressional persons who may have cooperated/organized the false elector lists involves a lot more constitutional issues; more delays and appeals.

I suspect there are a dozen or more with dirty hands and others with knowledge of the plot. (The riot was just a smokescreen, a possible pretext to stop the proceedings while the actual plan to cram in the illegal slates was in progress - lynching Pence was a sideshow; the plot involved whisking him off to Minot, ND or further off the planet).

My fondest hope is Jack Smith nails DontheCon, then devotes himself and team to scouring the nation of the scum who hatched or knew of the plan to overthrow the government.

A slew of Trump’s posse, including Mark Meadows and Rudy Giuliani, have been indicted in the Arizona fake electors plot.

And Boris Epshteyn!! Finally, a case that names that awful clown!!

Could the man who immolated himself be causing Trump’s fans to be reluctant to come stand in the park for hours? First, I know I’d be reluctant to stand where that sort of thing could happen. I mean, the cameras are all still there. They could attract anything.

Second, it shows what full-on commitment to an idea looks like, and they’re not really willing to commit that fully. It’s embarrassing to be outshone like that.

In a related question, has Trump made any reference to the burning man? Does he know that it happened?

The dude burning himself up had nothing to do with Trump.

Granted, per all reporting they were just taking advantage of the maximum publicity, but…

Considering how much of Trump’s base is built out of Qanon / CT / Looney-tunes conspiracy theorists, the fact that he didn’t have anything to do with Trump other than proximity is going to be of negligible value.

After all, he was one of them. I wouldn’t be surprised if later he ends up being made into some sort of quasi-saint like Babbitt , because, you know, he died to get the “truth” out. And they’ll blame Democrats, even if he included pretty much everyone in authority, because Democrats are in charge of the state/nation for … reasons.

I mean, we’re talking about folks that believe in reptillians and FSM knows what else.

This is known. This is well known. But he did it in the park, the park that Trump wants to fill with fans. And the fans may be reluctant to go to the park for immolation related reasons.

The fans could gather at any courthouse in any state they choose. If they’re not comfortable to collect in Manhattan, they have lots and lots of other options.

They’re not gathering anywhere.

To reword a popular 1960s saying, “What if Trump held a rally and nobody came?”

I think if it was advertised that someone would be setting themselves on fire, MAGA fans would show up in droves.

So, you don’t think that, wherever they’re not gathering, Trump fans feel a little one-upped?

< stage whisper >

I think they’re getting a little sick of him.

We can hope. I mean, if it’s possible for him to be overexposed, these trials will do it.

Does a Trump shit in the courtroom?

So Rudy, who has already filed bankruptcy, is going to go broke and then go to prison, whereas Trump is going to go to prison and then go broke?

Got it.
