The title from the Borowitz Report needs no further comment: Steve Bannon urged to develop more original salute:
I have spent an unjustifiable amount of time puzzling over what could have caused this effect. The best suggestions I can come up with are
a) he ate products high in sulfur-rich foods like cruciferous vegetables, and sulfur makes your poo stinkier;
b) the diet shifted his gut flora in the direction of stinkier bacteria, possibly because he wasn’t digesting these unfamiliar foods properly.
I’ve never noticed baby poop being routinely worse-smelling than adult poop, on average, but I don’t have very extensive experience with either kind (barring my own, natch).
Could be (among other things) a lack of fiber. Even if all else is equal, a liquid stool means a lot more exposed surface area to admit stink per volume than a solid stool. And, in terms of the toilet, a much greater chance that the splatter is adhering to portions of the toilet that aren’t being fully washed clean by the water.
That’s leaving out @Kimstu’s rational answers as well.
I do know that when I substantially change my diet for any reason, there is frequently digestive issues, with consequences for me and anyone else in my vicinity albeit generally for relatively short periods of time. Ketosis as a single example does lead to a much more offensive urination byproduct than most.
Trump: “The late, great Hannibal Lecter is a wonderful man.”
TBF (as much as I hate to be), he was trying to be funny and not praising Hannibal Lector.
I see he’s still playing his invisible accordion!
I just remembered something I wish I never knew: One of the things Donny asked of Stormy was a spanking. It’s all coming together now.
Perhaps Melania got a Genius exemption for her enema skills.
I kinda feel bad for this guy, as I believe he’s gotten a raw deal. Plus, he’s a fan of the Chiefs.
But he’s also a Trump supporter, so my sympathy is rather miniscule.
My first thought was that the presumption would have been very different if he was darker complex and his name was Sanchez.
It’s odd that the SSA didn’t question his citizenship when they assigned him a Social Security number, but all of a sudden it was an issue when he went to collect benefits. I’d be pissed at the government if I was him, Trump supporter or no.
On the other hand, where’s his birth certificate? Seems like a Canadian b.c. should have been a big red flag to many government agencies throughout his lifetime.
I’ve told the story before, but my mom’s second husband came over from Finland as a minor after WWII. Air Force, jobs, paid taxes, etc. until his father died and they wanted to take his ashes back to Finland. It was only then that he found out he wasn’t a citizen. (He did apply for, and did receive, U.S. citizenship.)
After finishing the article, I was about to ask how you know he’s a Trump supporter until I scrolled back to the top and looked at the picture more closely.
So this guy is basically a DREAMer? Brought to US as a kid, grew up here, loves the country and doesn’t really have a home in his “country of origin”?
Democrats in Congress should amend the DREAM Act to cover folks like him. I wonder if Marco Rubio would vote for that?
This guy supports a former president and current presidential candidate who despises immigrants and is adamantly opposed to citizenship for Dreamers.
My sympathy for him is non-existent.
He seems like a perfect example of someone who supports the Leopards Eating People’s Faces Party.
I think he should reap what he has sown and be prosecuted for voting illegally, followed by deportation after a period of incarceration.
(I also think that the laws regarding Dreamers and undocumented immigrants should be revised.)
Shocked, really? I mean, has he listened to himself?
Well, with a pause to get hosed down like Charlton Heston in Planet of the Apes, for the benefit of the other prisoners.
I was picturing the delousing scene from super troopers…regrettably.
This looks familiar.
In other words, the payment would be routed through a middleman, to hide the fact that the Campaign had settled from the public and the FEC,” Delgado stated in the filing. “I thus have direct, personal experience with the Defendant-Campaign hiding settlement payments to women, routing them through a ‘middleman law firm,’ which to the public would only appear as payments ‘for legal services’
