The existence of offspring, though potentially deleterious to the gene pool, does not disqualify a nominee. Children inherit only half of each parent’s genetic material and thus have their own chance to survive or snuff themselves. If, for instance, the offspring has inherited the “Play With Combustibles” gene, but also has inherited the “Use Caution When…” gene, then she is a potential innovator and asset to the human race. Therefore, each nominee is judged based on whether or not she has removed her own genes, without consideration to the number of offspring or, in the case of an elderly winner, the likelihood of producing more offspring.

In other news, former NFL team owner Dan Snyder, who was such a foul and terrible asshole that even NFL owners, a group filled with foul and terrible assholes, wanted nothing to do with him is incensed that a Trump movie he helped fund is closer to reality than the flattering election year hagiography he expected, showing his ineptitude and assholery truly extended beyond running a sports team to all aspects of his life.
That actually made me stop and say “What the Fuuuu…” Even as bad as he is at business, this is spectacularly bad…

That’s part of his incompetence. The film from the beginning was clearly not going to be complimentary to Trump. So why he just assumed it would be so is strange.
As for the government involvement, it was probably a bit overstated. Some of the production companies involved do get some government funding and likely there are tax breaks for filming in those countries but it’s not like there were government agencies directly involved in the actual production of the film.
I’m betting that some portion of the film was made in Canada, and this money was just standard government subsidies and/or tax cuts. If you watch the credits of a lot of movies, they film bits and pieces of them all over the place, to take advantage of various such schemes. I suspect the Canadian government didn’t even know what the film was about. All they’d care about is if they employed Canadian film industry people, and brought money into the country.
Trump’s not really running the show here. Other people created the Truth Social platform and gave Donald a ton of stock in it in exchange for becoming his primary Twitter replacement. Trump doesn’t run the company. This deal was just a lucky break for him and an opportunity to grift his followers.
