A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 2)

The First Annual Six Star Diamond Award for Outstanding Achievevment in the Field of Excellence.

I’m hearing those same rumors too.

Quick Question: Can Rump ditch JD Vance and pick someone else?
Or would JD Vance have to drop out…?

Is Rump “stuck” with him now…?

In 1972, two weeks after the Democratic convention, Thomas Eagleton was asked to withdraw as George McGovern’s running mate after it was revealed that he suffered from depression.

I suspect that the same thing could happen this year, but obviously I have no idea what rules, if any, the Pubs might have concerning this situation.

Two job applicants, a knife stuck in the floor, locked in a room?

And they can’t draw attention with their slashes and stitches away from Rump’s ear cut… which we’ve now learned is from a piece of broken monitor glass that was hit.

The russians know Trumps Shtick. There’s a spot at 336s where the dialog goes…

“He chose JD Vance”
“He is more of a Trump than Trump himself”
“This was an ingenious choice”
“He is saying, Do you want to kill me? Here’s whom you will get”

Wait, did this happen?

Cite?

That was speculated on the day it happened. Finding that bit of glass is probably an impossible feat, but it shouldn’t be that difficult to obtain a photo of the damaged TelePrompTer screen.

Of course, the America-hating fuckstick would never allow that to see the light of day. The “actually shot” narrative is so preferable.

Ah. I thought maybe I’d missed an update.

In Heather Cox Richards’ daily newsletter, she’s pointed out a few times now that no actual verifiable medical report has come out stating that his ear was actually pierced by a bullet, and that several cops within just a few feet of him were cut by glass.

Also, this is now circulating in the LEO community.

( So, the stupid kid never zeroed in his scope or banged it against something before he fired? )

As an example of “left-winger who sometimes have their strings pulled by Russia” this seems to ignore what is usually meant by the term “having their strings pulled.” To me it means the person is being told what to say, and says it for nefarious reasons. I don’t know much about Jill Stein, but from what I read in your link she seems to be a genuine nutjob and not a paid lackey.

But not to quibble. You found a left-winger who at least pipes in tune with Putin and Moscow much of the time. Not a very influential one, but hey, a left-winger.

The lack of a verifiable medical report may be true, but Snopes is still calling this broken glass story false, completely with multiple pictures of all the potential sources of glass that were still intact after the incident.

But I don’t think it matters. It was either a close call or a very close call, neither of which should have been possible under the circumstances.

Those cops got cut from something.

It only matters in that it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if Trump called it a bullet because it sounded better.

When it comes to Trump and ketchup, go very literal. Trump’s one true love in life is not any of his numerous wives, children, properties, or any particular McDonalds. It’s those glorious little bottles of red HFCS.

I suspect that at this point the rules are whatever Trump decides.

The Republican Party is now an extension of the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences.

I award it six diamonds. That’s more than five.

“Six diamonds.”

“Three no Trump.”

(Does anybody play contract bridge any more?)

Excellent…

I haven’t read Heather Cox Richards’ newsletter. Did she provide a cite for the existence and identity of the cops who were cut by – something?

I’m rather inclined to believe that Trump is now the victim of his own cries of “wolf” such that people who know what a liar he is won’t believe him when he is actually being eaten. Objectively, if there had been shards of glass flying around, it seems reasonable (to me) to believe that the source would have been determined by now.

Is it possible that Trump doesn’t even know what hit him? I mean that sincerely and not even in a way derogatory towards him. Clearly he couldn’t have seen what hit him, and depending on what the damage looked like afterward it might be difficult or impossible to tell. If he was barely grazed by a bullet, glass, or other piece of debris just enough to cut him the damage might look identical.

If someone shot at you to try to kill you, something hit you and hurt you, and you can’t be sure what it is, it would be natural to think it was a bullet. And of course that also sounds better.

I hate to be the person to defend him, but I haven’t seen anyone suggest that it’s possible that he wasn’t injured by a bullet but still has every reason to think he might have been and isn’t lying. That really sounds plausible to me.
