A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 2)

On our last trip to Chicago several years ago, a nice man who was giving us directions referred to Trump Tower as “the idiot building”.

Our trip to Chicago a couple of summers ago with our granddaughter, my wife booked us a hotel directly across the river from the Trump building. She obviously didn’t know that when she booked it, and luckily our room wasn’t on the side that faced it. But it was the first damn thing we saw every day when we stepped out.

And yeah, the guy doing our boat tour on the river made a few cracks about it.

I had the good luck to be in Chicago in 2020 the day the election was called for Biden. Like a large number of others, we walked over to Trump Tower to flip it off. And found a spontaneous dance party in front of the building - people were literally dancing in the streets in front of Trump Tower, waving mocking signs at it and flipping it off. One of the most fun trips to Chicago I have ever had!

Good word - never heard it before!

We were there for SOFA the weekend of the 2016 election. The boat guide merely pointed it out, with a comment that you could tell by the subtle 20’ gold lettering.

What a depressing end to a great weekend that was.

How is it I have never seen videos of this event? They must have been widely published.

The second photo in the article (photo in the link above) is the group we wandered into. People had boom boxes and there was spontaneous dancing and celebrating. The joy was overwhelming. Other onlookers had signs such as:
“You’re Fired!”
“RBG Sent Me”
“Socialists for Trump Fucking Off!”

That was a day!

Thank you, that is just so refreshing.

Let’s hope we’ll have even bigger celebrations this November-

The damn thing makes a handy screen, at least: Democrats project anti-Trump campaign messages onto his Chicago hotel

THAT’S FUNNY! Great message!

I debated whether to post this in the “How has Trump pissed you off” thread or this one, and decided to post it here, because this is such a bad sign for Trump.

The reason I’m pissed is because Trump took a rabid 9/11 truther with him to the ceremonies on Wednesday. It’s like taking a Neo-Nazi to a holocaust memorial ceremony.

But as the article states, she is really, really fucked up, and some of the more unhinged things he said in the debate were likely due to her influence. (Including the infamous “They’re eating the pets!” rant.)

I also like this quote from the article.

A Republican senator who is also a Trump ally said Trump is “often drawn to people who like and promote him.”

“It’s really dumb,” the senator added.

No shit, Dumbo.

John McEntee, a Project 2025 staffer and former director of WH personnel under Drumpf, recently took exception to a Harris debate comment about women.

In a TikTok video, he asked:

“Can someone track down the women Kamala Harris says are bleeding out in parking lots because Roe v. Wade was overturned?” he asks. “Don’t hold your breath.”

Well,

McEntee received over 11,000 comments on his video, mostly from women describing their own stories, or stories from relatives or friends, of brutal and horrific medical complications that have resulted from providers refusing to provide medically necessary abortion in red states for fear of prosecution.

Some graphic comments in this article from MeidasNews.

I don’t think he’s yet offered an apology.

It was surprising to see Trump at the 9/11 ceremony since I can’t remember him ever attending one before. He certainly didn’t seem affected. Here is a picture taken during the moment of silence. He was probably thinking that it was sad that he no longer had the tallest building.

It’s missing a thought balloon with the words: Why aren’t they looking at me?

Was there an eclipse that day? He does like looking at them.,

I thought that was Vance’s doing.

This was my understanding as well. It started as a rumor in the cesspool known as the right wing internet, Vance somehow came across it and pushed it on Trump. Note that this doesn’t mean Loomer couldn’t have thrown in her two cents.

Vance and others close to Trump have argued that, even if the claims are false, they have served a purpose by pushing the Springfield story into the spotlight.

“The media didn’t care about the carnage wrought by these policies until we turned it into a meme about cats, and that speaks to the media’s failure to care about what’s going on in these communities,” Vance told CNN after Tuesday’s debate. “If we have to meme about it to get the media to care, we’re going to keep on doing it, because the media could, should, care about what’s going on.”

That’s an interesting way of spelling “lie”, I suppose.

I’m told there’s a Facebook guy posting about Muir and Davis were fired from ABC/Disney. From some dude called Space X fan.

Totally a parody guy. Has been reposted many times. And folks believe this crap.

Why do people believe everything they read online?
