For a person who has been pampered and rich all his young life, that might be a hard road. I suppose it depends on how much his mother is willing and able to support him with money of her own, but even that won’t last forever.
It was on MSNBC; it was produced by Rachel Maddow. It was interesting: Parnas is clearly a life-long hustler, who got in way over his head with Trump and company. It certainly appears that Parnas was heavily involved in a lot of the things that Trump and Giuliani were doing, particularly related to Ukraine, and he then got thrown under the bus when investigators started poking around.
Oh, dear … I seem to have created a monster (but @Monty started it).
Anyway, {golf claps} to the above. Might as well add a chorus:
For it’s hi, hi, hee for Dear Leader’s company, Shout our objective loud and strong (eighty-eight)! And where’ere you go, you will always know That the grifting keeps rolling along!
I watched it, too, and I’m not sure I’m convinced that his change of heart is not just another grift. Meeting with Hunter was a little bit too on the nose. But then modern times have made me awfully cynical.
Done-Old used the alias “John Barron” when masquerading as his own publicist going back to the 70s. It’s both really weird and oddly fitting that he named one of his children after one of his original lies.
So apparently the Trump campaign is running ads in Georgia using the wrong image. Instead of an image of the US State, it’s an image of the former Soviet Republic
“ATTENTION GEORGIA: I’m humbling asking you to stop what you’re doing and check your voter registration status”.
What does that even mean, humbling asking? Adverb, gerund, who cares? Very few people know such things existed, much less the difference between them! The Best of the Best of the Best, Sir!
Guess it was the same team that gave us the Four Seasons Garden Centre. Very fine people with a subtle sense of humour.
i watched it on friday. really enjoyed it. very well done and insightful on how someone can get pulled into the cult of trump. also the title of it makes me smile. a good doc. and word play, can’t go wrong.
