A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 2)

“They say I’m tougher on the border than Abraham Lincoln, right?”

Which border would that be Donnie?

Who is the “they” in this? They are either 100% made up (most likely) or the biggest idiots on the planet.

Check out what I found: allegations the felon melon and his crew staged the whole thing. (The link goes to Newsweek.)

I mean, of course it was staged. Does Newsweek think they’ve uncovered something?

Life imitates art.

Talk about a Freudian slip.

Not only that, they forgot the possessive apostrophe in “McDonald’s.”

Or 100% made up by the biggest idiot on the planet.

Oh my god, he did think that!

The above video also goes into Trump spending ten minutes talking about Arnold Palmer’s equipment, as is reported here:

Ah, yes. It’s reminiscent of the way George Washington used to bring up Tom Cribb’s Wedding Tackle in speeches during the first US presidential campaign.

“We didn’t even have to row across the Potomac that day, he just stood in the back and swayed back and forth!”

I’ll admit I have no idea who Tom Cribb is, I just don’t know of any other time Washington was in a boat.

I’m surprised he isn’t being called Forrest Trump. What a dumb shit.

I deliberately didn’t say. I figured, with the internet, anyone interested can just look him up.

But it oughtta be clear from satirical context.

This being the SDMB, I’m going to point out that Cribb was all of 18 when Washington died. But I appreciate the joke nonetheless.

I used Cribb because I knew of him, and he was around in roughly the same time, and figured other Dopers might know of him, too.

And some non-zero number of pundits will actually talk about this as a serious reason to vote for Trump. (CNN employs a couple of them who almost certainly will.)

The hits keep coming for Rudy. He’s really dug his own professional grave with a backhoe, hasn’t he?

Campaign advice for beginners: Make sure your signage can’t be cropped in a way that undermines your message.

First person I’ve ever seen reference that movie. I liked it. And, yes, I know the scene you’re mentioning.

The level of excitement and enthusiasm of every single person in that picture is off the charts.
