Trump has such an incredibly thin skin. Witness how he reacted to it being said he was like a scared puppy:
His lawyers have been day-drinking since dawn, or never stopped.
No sympathy. They knew what they were getting into.
I want the antacid and booze concessions for his legal team.
Fred, if you’re afraid you’ll have to overlook it,
Besides you knew the job was dangerous when you took it! ![]()
Well, as Bugsy Malone said,* “We only kill each other.” A mob-hit doesn’t whack away at a cornerstone of our democracy with a big, fucking sledgehammer.
*Not entirely true and it discounts collateral damage like bad hooch.
True. Look, I’m not defending traitor donald. But what hasn’t been happening, yet, is key witnesses or judges suddenly dying of falls or car crashes.
When / If we see that, we’ll know the last tiny speedbump on the way to Emperor Fuhrer donald has been swept away.
Yeah, those splurge guns were quite lethal.
Huh.
Let’s do a thought experiment.
Let’s say you’re Ghengis Khan. You appoint a governor (GovA) to run the largest city in your realm. He does so for four years, at which time, according to law and custom, he can get the job for one more 4 year stint or you get to replace the governor with a new governor (GovB)
But GovA doesn’t want to go. So he starts making speeches saying he isn’t vacating the seat. And let’s assume that, unlike DJT, he only used his speech to inflame the populace*, culminating in a speech called for right before the very hour your team of Esteemed Councilors (EC) are to meet, ratifying your decision.
And at this speech, GovA tells the crowd to “fight like Hell” as he directs them to march on your capitol building. And they do, shouting that they want to hang your Councilors.
And let’s say that this “rabble” breaks into your capitol chanting that they want to kill your Councilors, and only by the grace of God and the Councilors guards, this bloodshed did not occur.
And let’s say that, during all this, GovA sends out a message to tell the crowd that the Chief Councilor failed him, a man who was a loyal lapdog to GovA the previous four years. And let’s say that GovA waited for hours to tell the crowd (the crowd that GovA drew there), at that time and place, to withdraw from your capitol.
Fortunantly, the attempt failed. The Esteemed Councilors were able to meet later that evening and pass the EC vote. A couple of weeks later, GovB takes the helm.
Your will prevailed, according to law and custom.
Time for some questions…
- Do you, Ghengis, think that GovA attempted to thwart your will?
- Did he do so in an appropriate manner? In other words, did he attempt to thwart your will solely by means which were both legal and customary?
- Do you think the message about the CC was, or was not, an incitement to the crowd to murder the CC?
- What do you do to GovA?
*In other words, he didn’t do Impeachment One (where he tried to get a local warlord to falsely claim that you, Ghengis, were a criminal), he didn’t impede the councilors from meeting (analogous to Trump’s war on early voting, voting by mail, more), etc. He just did the speeches, a J6-style rabble attack incitement+attack, voiced his approval of the attack, and, lastly, incited the rabble to kill your Chief Councilor.
If MAGA’s only wanted to damage each other, they are doing a pretty good job of it.
They vote for things that will likely hurt them the most. No health care. Don’t raise minimum wage. BUT give the very rich more money.
As long as it hurts people that care about the earth and other people, they are all for it. As long as it hurts the ‘others’ too.
These idiots what to take away their own benefits and give them to the very rich. They are willing to go to prison to do so. Okay, here is your benefit. Three hots and a cot.
Bugsy Siegal, dammit! ![]()
I’d like to say there was a small voice in the back of my head that was sayin, “Not Malone, you idiot,” but I’d be lying. No wonder I couldn’t find anything in Quote Investigator.
Bugsy Siegel, dammit! ![]()
I give up.
As Davis X. Machina put it:
“The salient fact of American politics is that there are fifty to seventy million voters each of who will volunteer to live, with his family, in a cardboard box under an overpass, and cook sparrows on an old curtain rod, if someone would only guarantee that the black, gay, Hispanic, liberal, whatever, in the next box over doesn’t even have a curtain rod, or a sparrow to put on it.”
I think he’s right. LBJ once said something quite similar.
And I love that guy’s pen name. Very well done.
That quote’s from 2009 and other than the numbers cited increasing it’s still depressingly spot on.
Alas, yes.
It’s Benny Siegel, Dammit…!
I Don’t Need Williamsburg Heat…
Trump is being deposed on Sept 6 in Miami on this matter. MeidasTouch interview with Cohen. This is the last couple minutes. If you want some Schadenfreude watch the whole thing where they discuss what a fuck up this is.

Dionysius has apparently sent an omen warning of his displeasure with Loser Donald.
