That’s certainly a factor in why I watched it. I knew he was going to lie about the numbers no matter what they were, so watching vs. not watching made no difference to the propaganda.
But I’m in full “Witness to History” mode now. I’m too old to go out rioting or something, but I can at least bear witness to the mess, so that in 10 or 20 years, I can call out whatever the equivalent of Holocaust Deniers will be, and say, “I saw it as it happened, assholes.”
Not sure where else it would go, but a pardoned Jan6er got into an altercation with a deputy and ended up dead. While I’ll still take the police’s statement with a massive grain of salt, I doubt the traitor actually waited until his pardon before illegally obtaining a firearm.
Well, given the price of eggs and gas, that’s no shock.
Much as I hate to say it, the average American does not pay attention to the national goings-on and likely wouldn’t care if they did. But they do notice the hit to their pocket books.
If prices moderate, that approval rating might change. But given the set of actions that would do little to help those, if not actually exacerbate food and energy prices, I suspect lots of tweets featuring “exaggerations”, i.e. outright fabrications, of popularity figures plus a lot of shouting at various staffers about how they’re screwing things up.
Right. If the Houstan man had done this in the vicinity of the Capitol on January 6, 2021, going by the very clear text of the pardon, he wouldn’t have to worry about it anymore.
It’s very frustrating, what’s going on now. And very serious, because there will be a steep pile of bodies before this is all over. I promise to stay out of the Trump threads, since all I have to offer in this situation is unwelcome attempts at humor over his pettiness.
