What @Atamasama said; also, its often the case that a team chasing a tie will send the goalie up the field in the event of a set piece play (corner or free kick) to give them another two feet and one head in the penalty area for the other team to guard. Very rarely, they’re the ones that score a tying goal - but it’s at least as likely, if not more so, that the other team scores back in the other direction as the goalie is scrambing back to the net.
(Also, it’s now five substitutions per match, across three “substitution windows” during the course of play.)

Not at all, in fact never heard of the goalie being substituted for an additional field player. But the goalie sometimes goes up the pitch to try to score, particularly for set pieces like corners or free kicks. It only makes sense when they are down one goal and the game is about to end anyway (say: last minute, last two minutes is stretching it). It sometimes works. If the goalie does not score himself he at least can bring some confusion into the defending team, so that another team mate scores.

Judge tosses Trump Media’s $3.8 billion defamation suit against The Washington Post:
This time, it is a defamation lawsuit that the Trump Media and Technology Group brought against The Washington Post in 2023 over a story titled “Trust linked to porn-friendly bank could gain a stake in Trump’s Truth Social.”
A federal judge in Florida has thrown out the suit, saying that Trump Media “failed to present evidence that would allow a jury to find by clear and convincing evidence” that The Post “published the allegedly defamatory statements with actual malice.”

The judge on Friday wrote that “the evidence is clear and convincing that defendant has engaged in intentional misrepresentation with conscious disregard towards plaintiff’s rights” – and he awarded Biden $1 in nominal damages along with $1.7m in punitive damages.
Wilson also ordered Byrne to pay Biden about $35,000 in court sanctions.
The case had been scheduled for a jury trial in October. But the judge wrote on Friday that Byrne “failed to appear” for the proceeding and fired his lead trial attorney, delaying the proceedings “at the expense” of Biden and the court.
After his failure to appear at trial, Wilson found Byrne to be in default as a sanction for what the judge described as “repeated, intentional disobedience of court orders and unceasing efforts to delay proceedings”.
