A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 3)

FAFO at its finest.

Leopards, faces, etc.

Sounds to me like a rhetorical question as he laments the fact that he and his peers were dipshits, and he is figuring that out.

Except that he expressed it in the present and future tense. He didn’t say "How could we continue voting for someone that is targeting our community?” or “There’s no way possible we should have supported that. No way.” The actual phrasing is “mistakes were made” level bullshit, pretending that there was no way they could have known what would happen.

Trump was very expressly clear that he would spend his second term targeting Hispanics, but they somehow thought he meant other Hispanics - you know, the “bad” ones - even though his rhetoric contained no such nuance. Many of us saw this coming and told them, and yet they voted for him. To repeat Monty’s mantra:

As in, “Why do we keep doing this to ourselves?”

That’s a bizarre read. So, you think he’s saying that he will continue to vote for Trump? That seems like a profound misunderstanding. It does sound like he worries that his community might still continue to do it, but I doubt he will. And if you read the whole quote, he isn’t alone in his discontent, so it’s unlikely that Trump or those he endorses are going to receive the same support from that community that they did before.

It’s weird to me that you’re reading the complete opposite of what he’s saying.

Yup, they were fucking idiots, probably due to the typical “pull the ladder up after us” mentality not uncommon in immigrant communities. “If we act like the assholes who hate us, they’ll stop hating us because we’ll be one of them.” That doesn’t really work.

You don’t have a word for antipathy? :astonished:

Well, this is the Schadenfreude thread so….

Bigots often have an irrational conviction that other bigots agree with them, I’ve noticed. Then get blindsided finding that no, they don’t agree.

Judge voids Trump’s “agreement” with the IRS to give him lots of money with no scrutiny. She says, 100% correctly, that it’s not a real lawsuit and was filed for “improper purposes.” Oh, and the lawyer who filed it? Referred to the Ethics Board for disciplinary actions. Ha ha ha.

Once again, Making Attorneys Get Attorneys.

All happy men are alike. Each unhappy bigot is unhappy in his own way.

(Almost) Leo Tolstoy

And another Epstein?

a second lawyer, Daniel Epstein, will now be unable to join cases in the Southern District of Florida for at least a year.

Concerning the judge dumping the Ice Bucket Challenge on Trump’s IRS nonsense, I wonder how soon “they” will go after her. Nah, I don’t think I need to explain who “they” are.

I’m in good company here…

Hehe, I don’t mean to complain, but I’m not willing to allow Twitter to run JavaScript. Tell us what company you keep?

The link is to a tweet by esteemed political commentator and generally sane person, Laura Loomer.

Many thanks!

As a matter of principle, Ido not click on links to the website formerly known as Twitter (when I twig to it early enough). Can you please provide a Précis?

Yes, it’s a drop in the bucket compared to the billions he’s grifting as President, but you know he’s pissed at failing to block the money from being paid and losing, and he is literally paying for his crime, however paltry an amount. Here’s hoping for many more court fails and civil penalties in trump’s future.

It is Xit by Laura Loomer, pushing (suprise!) a conspiracy theory that Russia is responsible for Old Turkey Neck finally kicking the bucket, ie an assassination.

It is not worth the pixels it is displayed upon, just another incredibly dumb assertion by an incredibly dumb person.
