I don’t understand your POV, but since I actually like and respect you, I will retract my statement that anyone who would choose this board over $500 is a moron. A lot of people obviously take this board far, FAR more seriously than I do or could. $500 seems like a lot of money to me, and this board is, after all, just something I do to pass the time. It doesn’t rank very high up on my list of priorities, and I could use the money right now. So, OK, you’re not a fucking moron (though QED still is

Hey, I’m in, too. I’m not that badly off that taking a pass on $500. would hurt. As I said, I’m not too pleased about how things went down for PRR, who is a real life friend for me, not just words on the screen like most of the rest of you. So there might be some vehemence from me. What Exit? feels similarly upset, but maybe he doesn’t like the word FUCK as much as I do.
Please don’t think that my strong feelings about how people get treated around here (PRR, Lissa) and my, to you, excessive use of the F-bomb, means that this board has somehow rocked me to my core. I don’t want nice people to get the shit knocked out of them without someone sticking up for them.

A couple of misunderstandings there, I’m afraid. What I said was that getting $500 wouldn’t make a (significant) difference, not that I wouldn’t miss $500 that I already have - although I may not. Also, I’m neither massively successful nor well-off.
Tell you what - I’ll take a look at my finances and you try and figure out a better reason than “dibs”. Deal?
