Yes, yes, yes. As a mean little girl, my favorite colors were always blue and green, but my mother had this ridiculous notion that little girls were supposed to have long hair and wear pink. So then pink, a completely ordinary color, became something I detested because it was rammed down my throat. We’d go to the store and I’d pick a blue dress, and would be overridden by mother, the one with the checkbook, for something pink. Grr! As a grown up, I no longer feel resentment for pink because no one can make me wear it anymore, but I don’t particularly care for it. It just doesn’t appeal to my eye. I do like some of the darker, more coral-looking pinks though. Is there anyone who looks bad in coral?
